A remote, read-only MCP server that lets an assistant search and look up public aviation events such as airshows, fly-ins and workshops on Events.Aero.
What you can do
Search upcoming aviation events by free text, event type, country, date range, distance, free entry or online status, ordered by date or distance and paged through results, and see the currently featured events, optionally for one country, with their public page links. Retrieve a single event by its sqid or slug, including dates, venue, price, booking or RSVP details, organiser contact details, flying-in information such as PPR, runway and landing fees, the day's schedule and the description. List the available event types and the countries covered, with the values to pass to the search tool and links to the public pages for each.
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to find an airshow, fly-in, workshop or club meet, check details of a specific event, or see what is featured and which countries and event types are covered. A good fit for travel or hobby planning around aviation events.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at events.aero over streamable HTTP; no package, account, API key, environment variable or header is declared. Network access to the endpoint is needed.
Before you install
The server is described as public and read-only, so it should not change data. Event details such as prices, schedules, organiser contacts and flying-in requirements come from third-party listings and should be confirmed on the event's own page before relying on them.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/aero.events%2Fevents/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Search upcoming public aviation events on Events.Aero (airshows, fly-ins, workshops and more). Filter by free text, event type, country, date range, distance from a point, free entry or online events. Results are ordered by start date, or by distance when latitude and longitude are given, one page at a time. Every result includes the public event page URL: send people there to book or RSVP.
Get one public event by its sqid or slug (from search-events or featured-events): dates, venue, price, how to book or RSVP, organiser contact details shown on the event page, flying in (PPR, runway, landing fees and whether pilots can RSVP to fly in), the day's schedule and the description. Always share the event page URL.
