Email for AI agents: its own address, not your Gmail. Invite-only; requires an agent token.
Overview
Gives an AI agent its own atmark.ai email address so it can receive, read, draft and send mail under owner-controlled policies.
- What you can do
- Read capabilities, policy, limits and default sending address, and request policy changes that apply only after owner approval
- List, read and thread received mail, read attachments (text, PDF, images) and fetch short-lived attachment links
- Send new mail, reply and forward, with results reported as sent, denied or pending approval
- Find sign-up and login verification codes from a sender domain, and check approval status
- Manage drafts, labels, scheduled mail and webhooks, and create sibling agents when the owner allows it
- When to use it
- Useful when an agent needs a mailbox of its own for alerts, notifications and verification codes without OAuth access to a personal inbox, and when you want outbound mail restricted to an allowlist with owner approval.
- Requirements
- Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at api.atmark.ai/mcp, POST only, JSON responses; server-to-server calls only, since an Origin header is rejected. A required bearer token (atk_agent_...) issued in the Atmark console, sent in the Authorization header. Access is invite-only. Claude Desktop needs a local bridge to add the header.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Atmark in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.atmark%2Fatmark/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

Atmark MCP
Invite-only. Email for AI agents — its own address, not your Gmail. Route alerts and notifications to it, and decide who it can write to. Requires an API token. Works with MCP clients that support remote HTTP with a Bearer token.

What your agent gets
- Its own address —
[email protected], separate from your inbox. No OAuth into your Gmail. - Sending you control — switch outbound to an allowlist and the agent writes only to people you add; everyone else is refused with
recipient_not_allowlisted. The agent can ask for a change withrequest_policy_change, and nothing changes until you approve it in the console. - Received mail marked as data — the sender's words arrive inside an outside-data block, and every email carries
risk.level. After reading a risky email, a send to someone new waits for your approval. - A record — every send decision and received-mail verdict joins a public, hash-chained transparency log at
id.atmark.ai/log, with a signed checkpoint every hour and a daily Bitcoin timestamp (OpenTimestamps). The log holds hashes, never mail contents.
Security
- The only Atmark MCP endpoint is
https://api.atmark.ai/mcp. Anything else claiming to be Atmark isn't. - Authentication is a header only:
Authorization: Bearer atk_agent_…. Issue tokens in the console; the value is shown once. - Never write the token into a config file that can be committed. Every config here reads it from the
ATMARK_AGENT_TOKENenvironment variable. - Report abuse to
[email protected].
Connect
Set the token in your shell without it showing on screen or in history:
Claude Code
Or copy configs/claude-code/.mcp.json to your project root. Full guide: Connect Claude Code.
Cursor
Copy configs/cursor/mcp.json to .cursor/mcp.json, and open Cursor from the terminal where the variable is set (cursor .). Full guide, including Windows: Connect Cursor.
Hermes
Put the token in ~/.hermes/.env (mode 600) and add configs/hermes/config.yaml under mcp_servers. Full guide: Connect Hermes.
Claude Desktop and other clients
Any client that speaks Streamable HTTP and can send a Bearer header works. Claude Desktop needs a local bridge that adds the header. Server requirements:
Check the connection with curl:
Then ask your agent to call get_my_policy. If from_address is the agent's address, you're connected.
Add the received-mail rule
Put this line in your agent's rules (CLAUDE.md, .cursor/rules, or the system prompt):
Tools
tools/list only returns the tools your token's scopes allow. Call get_capabilities first.
Send results are sent, denied (with a reason code), or pending_approval. Don't resend a pending or denied email; the result's next_step says what to do. Details: MCP tools.
Examples
examples/alert-reader— route one real alert to your agent and have it summarize the alert, without being able to write back.
What Atmark is not for
Every agent sends from the same domain, so Atmark is not for cold outreach or AI SDR, bulk or marketing mail, mail people don't expect, or mass sign-ups and code harvesting. Details.
