Overview

AI-generated overview

BumbleBox is a remote MCP server that lets an assistant search and triage connected mailboxes, draft replies and campaigns, and send only as the user allows.

What you can do
  • Search and read emails across connected mailboxes, with sender, subject and date operators, and list emails flagged as needing a reply
  • Look up contacts from mail history, list mailbox folders, and read Google calendar events between two dates
  • Draft replies that wait in BumbleBox for review, and send replies to the original sender at the level the user set
  • Archive, move, trash or restore emails on the mail server, with every move undoable
  • Review prospection campaigns, their pending drafts and replies awaiting validation, and create or update campaign drafts
When to use it
Useful when you run several mailboxes or businesses and want an assistant to search, triage and tidy mail, prepare replies, and keep prospection campaigns moving without sending anything on its own.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at api.bumblebox.ai; no local package. OAuth 2.1 sign-in with dynamic client registration and PKCE, approved once on bumblebox.ai. A Pro or Business BumbleBox plan, and at least one connected mailbox (Gmail, Outlook or IMAP).
Before you install
The assistant can act on real mailboxes: send_reply may send depending on the level the user set in BumbleBox, and archive, move, trash and restore change mail on the server. Campaign drafts are written into existing campaigns. Mail and calendar data are handled by BumbleBox as a third-party service; review the permissions shown at sign-in and the privacy policy.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open BumbleBox in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.bumblebox%2Fmail/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

BumbleBox MCP server

[Listed on mcpservers.org] [mcptry]

Email intelligence for people running several businesses, inside your AI assistant. BumbleBox triages every connected mailbox (Gmail, Outlook, any IMAP); this remote MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client work with it.

  • Endpoint: https://api.bumblebox.ai/api/mcp (streamable HTTP)
  • Auth: OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE. You approve once on bumblebox.ai and see exactly which permissions the assistant gets.
  • Plans: Pro or Business (pricing).
  • Setup for every client: https://bumblebox.ai/integrations

Install

Claude Code (plugin, with the /bumblebox:to-answer and /bumblebox:tidy commands):

/plugin marketplace add BumbleBox/bumblebox-mcp/plugin install bumblebox@bumblebox

Or just the server: claude mcp add --transport http bumblebox https://api.bumblebox.ai/api/mcp

Claude (claude.ai, desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → https://api.bumblebox.ai/api/mcp.

ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → create a connector (developer mode), paste the server URL, authentication OAuth.

Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json):

json

What it never does

BumbleBox sends nothing without your click — Send, Schedule, or a standing permission you set yourself in BumbleBox for a precise scope (existing participants of a thread you opened, a message with no commitment), capped, logged and cancellable. Anything else waits for your validation, and an assistant can never change that permission.

There is no permanent deletion: trash_email moves only certified noise to the Trash and turns anything else into a one-tap proposal in BumbleBox; everything is undone with restore_to_inbox.

search_emails

Search emails

Searches every connected mailbox (sender, subject, preview), newest first. Operators: from:, subject:, before:YYYY-MM-DD, after:YYYY-MM-DD; the rest is free text. Deleted emails are not returned.

Parameterslimitqueryrequired

get_email

Read an email

One email in full: sender, recipients, date, subject, plain-text body, attachment names, folder and BumbleBox classification.

Parametersidrequired

list_to_answer

Emails waiting for a reply

Received emails BumbleBox classified as needing a reply and still in the inbox, newest first.

Parameterslimit

search_contacts

Search contacts

Contacts BumbleBox knows from the mail history (name, address, organization domain, exchange counts, last exchanges, VIP mark, note), matched on name, address or domain.

Parameterslimitquery

list_folders

List mail folders

The folders of each connected mailbox, as last synced. Trash, spam, sent and drafts are left out.

Takes no parameters.

list_calendar_events

List calendar events

Events of the connected Google calendars between two dates (default: the next 7 days, at most 62 days).

Parameterstofrom

draft_reply

Prepare a reply (not sent)

Saves the text as the reply draft of a received email, from the mailbox that received it. Nothing is sent: the draft waits in BumbleBox (Pilotage › prepared replies) until the user reviews it and clicks Send. Saving again replaces the previous draft of the same email.

Parametersbodyrequiredsubjectemail_idrequired

send_reply

Reply to the sender

Replies to the sender of one received email, and only to them (no Cc, no Bcc, no attachment), from the mailbox that received it. What happens next is the level the user set in BumbleBox for this kind of reply: a draft, a reply waiting for one tap (the default), or a reply that leaves after a delay the user can cancel. Anything that commits the user (amounts, bank details, acceptance, contracts, dates, links) always waits for the user. The result says which one applied.

Parametersbodyrequiredemail_idrequired

archive_email

Archive an email

Moves one inbox email to its mailbox's archive folder, on the mail server too. Undone by restore_to_inbox. Nothing is deleted.

Parametersemail_idrequired

move_email

Move an email to a folder

Moves one inbox email to an existing folder of the same mailbox (see list_folders), on the mail server too. No folder is created. Undone by restore_to_inbox.

Parametersfolderrequiredemail_idrequired

trash_email

Put an email in the trash

Moves one inbox email to its mailbox's trash when BumbleBox certifies it as noise (spam, newsletter, promotion, with a unanimous safety vote and no known contact or action word). Any other email is not moved: it becomes a proposal the user confirms in one tap in BumbleBox. Never a permanent deletion; undone by restore_to_inbox.

Parametersreasonemail_idrequired

restore_to_inbox

Put an email back in the inbox

Moves an archived, filed or trashed email back to the inbox, on the mail server too.

Parametersemail_idrequired

list_missions

List campaigns

The user's prospection campaigns (missions), most recently active first, with the number of drafts waiting, emails sent and prospects who replied.

Parameterslimit

list_campaign_drafts

List the drafts of a campaign

The drafts of one campaign that wait for the user to validate them in BumbleBox (recipient, subject, plain-text body, sender), newest first, with the true totals.

Parameterslimitmission_idrequired

list_replies_to_validate

Campaign replies waiting for the user

Replies received on campaigns that still need the user: prepared reply drafts waiting for validation, and replies with no answer yet (with the stored AI triage: kind, summary, whether a human is needed).

Takes no parameters.

create_campaign_draft

Write a campaign draft (not sent)

Writes one draft inside an existing campaign, to one recipient (added to the campaign list if new), from the campaign's sender. Nothing is sent: the draft waits for the user to validate the campaign send in BumbleBox.

Parameterstorequiredbodyrequirednamesubjectrequiredmission_idrequired

update_campaign_draft

Edit a campaign draft (not sent)

Changes the subject, body or recipient of a draft that is still a draft. Nothing is sent, and a draft the user already validated cannot be changed.
