Turn documents into structured data: parse, extract, classify, split, and fill PDF forms.
Overview
Hosted Extend MCP server that lets an assistant parse, extract, classify, split and fill PDF forms from unstructured documents.
- What you can do
- Parse PDFs, images, Office files and spreadsheets into structured data
- Extract fields, classify documents and split them into parts
- Fill and edit PDF forms
- Run multi-step document workflows and manage files and webhooks
- Run evaluations and consult guidance for writing Extend API or CLI integration code
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs to turn batches of real-world documents into structured, machine-readable data, or to build and check document-processing pipelines against the Extend platform.
- Requirements
- Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at mcp.extend.ai; no local package. OAuth sign-in is required, and the browser flow asks which workspace and environment the connection may use. Network access to Extend's servers.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Extend in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.extend%2Fextend/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Extend Agent Plugin
Document processing for agents, packaged as a plugin. Extend turns unstructured documents (PDFs, images, Office files, spreadsheets) into structured data: parsing, field extraction, classification, splitting, PDF form filling, and multi-step document workflows.
This plugin bundles:
- The hosted Extend MCP server (
https://mcp.extend.ai/mcp): 80+ tools covering extraction, parsing, classification, splitting, PDF editing, workflows, files, webhooks, and evaluations. Sign-in is OAuth: your client opens a browser window where you choose the workspace and environment the connection may use. The server teaches its own cross-tool usage patterns through MCP server instructions and per-response guidance, so no companion skill is needed for it. extend-apiskill: a compact brief for agents writing integration code against the Extend API and SDKs: endpoints, schema rules, sync-vs-async patterns, webhooks, and error handling.extend-cliskill: how to drive theextendCLI for shell, script, and CI work against local files.
The skills also install standalone, without the plugin:
Install
- Cursor: install "Extend" from the Cursor Marketplace,
or load this repository from
~/.cursor/plugins/local/for development. - Claude Code:
claude plugin install extendonce listed in the plugin directory, or add this repository as a plugin marketplace. - Any MCP client: you don't need the plugin to use Extend; connect
directly to
https://mcp.extend.ai/mcp(Streamable HTTP + OAuth). See the connection guide for per-client instructions.
Repository layout
Several manifest formats coexist so one repository serves every ecosystem:
Privacy and terms
The MCP server calls the Extend API on your behalf under the workspace and environment you approve at sign-in. See Extend's privacy policy, terms, and security overview. Support: [email protected].

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
