Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote INITE Directory server that lets an assistant find businesses which confirmed their own facts, by what they do and where, and look up one business's…

What you can do
  • Find businesses by service or type plus optional city, country and language, in English, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish
  • Look up a single business by its INITE slug or domain, with services and prices, hours, open-now status, locations and contact options
  • Discover other INITE MCP servers and how to add them to the client
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to find a local business or service provider in a supported language and region, or check a specific business's confirmed services, prices and hours. Results are ordered by match and completeness, not paid placement.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at inite.ai; the open tools need no account. Signed-in INITE products use OAuth through auth.inite.ai, where a new person registers.
Before you install
Business facts are self-confirmed by owners, so treat them as the business's own claims rather than independent verification. The signed-in doors involve an OAuth account; the open directory tools need no credentials.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open INITE Directory in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.inite%2Fdirectory/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

INITE Agents

An AI agent that comes to your site gets the facts your business confirmed. That is the whole promise, and it is narrow on purpose. INITE Agents does not promise more recommendations or more traffic. It promises that ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or an agent in a visitor's browser gets your real services, prices, hours, locations and answers when it reads your site, and gets nothing you did not confirm.

You confirm the facts once in the INITE cabinet. INITE generates the files agents look for and runs an MCP server for your business. A connector on your site then serves everything from your own domain.

What INITE never does

  • Publishes a fact or a price you did not confirm.
  • Puts an article on your site that you did not approve.
  • Keeps a route claimed by a switched-off connector. Every connector switches off whole, and a feature that is off claims no URL and prints nothing.
  • Sends your site key anywhere but https://inite.ai. Connectors build every address from that origin and never follow a redirect with the key.
  • Lets an INITE outage take your site down. Connectors keep a copy and refresh it on a timer: hourly from WP-Cron in WordPress, at most once per period in Next.js, with a five-second limit. If INITE is down, the last good copy is served.

  • examples/: webhook receivers that verify the signature, in Node.js, PHP and Python, and a script that sends a signed test event.

The connectors' code lives in INITE's private monorepo. inite-agents-wordpress and site-agents are read-only mirrors of it, updated on every change. See CONTRIBUTING.md.

find_business

Find a business by what it does and where

Businesses that confirmed their own facts at INITE, found by what they do and where: a kind of business or the service wanted, in English, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish ("a dentist in Lisbon", "кафе в Москве", "advogado trabalhista São Paulo"), with an optional city, country and language. Each answer gives the business's name, what it does in its own words, its city, its first services with prices exactly as the business confirmed them, its site, and its company facts server (MCP and A2A) to ask for the rest - hours, every service, questions and answers - or to send it a request where it takes them. INITE Directory covers businesses whose owners confirmed their facts at INITE and proved their domain; the INITE Atlas is AI tools and software scored by INITE's own measurement (match_tools, atlas_lookup on the Atlas server) - use it, not this, for which AI tool or app to use. Ordered by how well the words match and how complete the confirmed facts are; no business can pay for a place. Free, no account.

business

One business, by slug or domain

One business that confirmed its facts at INITE, by its INITE slug (the name before .inite.ai) or its domain: what it does, how to reach it, its services with prices as confirmed, hours and whether it is open now, its locations, its company facts server (MCP and A2A) and whether it takes contact or booking requests from agents there. INITE Directory covers businesses whose owners confirmed their facts at INITE and proved their domain; the INITE Atlas is AI tools and software scored by INITE's own measurement (match_tools, atlas_lookup on the Atlas server) - use it, not this, for which AI tool or app to use. inite_connect

Connect another INITE server

INITE's MCP servers and how to add each to this client: INITE Atlas and INITE Atlas Owners (signed in: add a tool, its card, premium), INITE Visibility and its signed-in door (your audits, a licence), INITE and its signed-in door (your account, Local Start), INITE Directory (businesses that confirmed their own facts). Call it when the person wants something this server does not do; give `for` to get the one server that does it. Returns the URL, the Claude Code command, Cursor and VS Code install links, and the custom-connector step for claude.ai and ChatGPT.
