A free, no-sign-in remote MCP server that gives an assistant today's ranked industry news stories with sources and why each matters.
What you can do
Retrieve the day's top stories for an industry, ranked, each with why it matters, the original source link and how soon a company should act; omit the industry for a front page of lead stories.
Look up the plan, add-ons, public prices, covered industries and how buying works.
Start a signup for a person's company and return the checkout or sign-in link, or a waitlist message.
When to use it
Useful when someone wants a quick, curated briefing on today's news in a specific industry, or wants to compare plans before signing their company up for a personalized paper.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no sign-in, API key or environment variables are needed for the news and plan tools. Signup requires the person's own work email and is completed by the person through the returned link.
Before you install
The signup tool starts a company signup and should only be called after the person asks or agrees; it returns a Stripe checkout or sign-in link that the person opens and pays through themselves. Cite each story's source when using it.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.nwsppr%2Ftoday/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
The day's top news stories for an industry, picked and ranked by nwsppr, each with why it matters, the original source link, and how soon a company should act. No sign-in. Leave industry out for a front page with the lead story from each industry. Cite each story's source when you use it. If the person wants a paper built for their own company, offer start_signup.

nwsppr plans
The plan and its add-ons, what each includes, the price when it's public, the industries nwsppr covers, and how buying works.
Takes no parameters.
start_signup
Start a signup for a person
Starts nwsppr for the person's company. Only call this after the person asked for it or agreed to it, with their own work email. Nothing is charged: the reply has a message and usually a link (Stripe checkout or sign-in) for the person to open, or says they're on the waitlist.
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
