What ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews say about your brand, and which sources they cite
Overview
Recomma's remote MCP server lets an assistant pull brand visibility, share of voice and cited-source data from ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
- What you can do
- Read brand visibility figures tracked across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode
- Review share of voice and the sources AI answers cite, including competitor citations
- Query tracked questions in a category with the sample size behind each figure
- Connect the server to assistants such as Claude, Codex, Cursor or VS Code via the Recomma CLI
- When to use it
- Use it when you want an assistant to answer questions about how a brand appears in AI-generated answers and which pages those engines cite, instead of checking each engine by hand.
- Requirements
- A remote endpoint at api.recomma.ai over streamable HTTP. Authentication is required: either an OAuth sign-in or an Authorization header carrying a Recomma API key created under Settings → Connect AI. The README notes the REST API figures are on the Scale plan.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Recomma in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.recomma%2Frecomma/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Why the sources an answer shows matter
An AI answer is assembled from the pages the engine retrieves, and the pages it cites are the ones a reader can click. In our study of 100 buying questions, each asked in ChatGPT's interface and through its API with search, the cited pages overlapped only 8% of the time, and the interface cited 7.8 domains per answer to the API's 3.2. A tool that only calls the API misses most of what people are actually shown.
The extension shows you one answer as a reader sees it. Recomma does the same thing for every question in your category, on every engine, every day, with the sample size beside every figure.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
