Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that runs allow-listed Python in a sandbox so an assistant can compute results or produce a one-page PDF.

What you can do
  • Run Python snippets and get back stdout, stderr and exit code
  • Compute with numpy for calculations such as means, standard deviations and matrix products
  • Generate a one-page PDF with the preinstalled fpdf library and receive a temporary download link
  • Reject non-Python code with a one-line warning
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to actually execute arithmetic, statistics or numpy work instead of estimating, or to hand back a small generated PDF such as an invoice summary. It is not meant for other languages, package installs, network access or reading user files.
Requirements
Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing to install locally. OAuth 2.1 sign-in (PKCE with dynamic client registration) is required, and the client opens a sign-in page on first use. Configure the endpoint URL in an MCP-capable client such as VS Code, Claude or Claude Code.
Before you install
Signing in grants the server an OAuth session tied to your account. Code runs in a sandbox with no network, no user filesystem and no package installs, and only Python with numpy and fpdf is available. PDF download links expire after one hour, so retrieve them promptly.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Mathematical Code Execution in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.saifs%2Fcode-execution/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

Mathematical Code Execution

A Python-only sandbox for agent hosts. The model writes Python that prints a result (or a one-page PDF via preinstalled fpdf); this server runs it in an isolated process with no network, no user filesystem and no package installs. Other languages are refused. numpy is available; scipy and pandas are not.

Install

VS Code / GitHub Copilot

Add to .vscode/mcp.json (workspace) or your user mcp.json:

json
{  "servers": {    "saifs-code-execution": {      "type": "http",      "url": "https://code-execution-mcp.saifs.ai/mcp"    }  }}

Then start the server from the MCP view and sign in when prompted.

Claude (claude.ai, Desktop)

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste:

https://code-execution-mcp.saifs.ai/mcp

Claude Code

bash
claude mcp add --transport http saifs-code-execution https://code-execution-mcp.saifs.ai/mcp

Any other MCP client

Point it at https://code-execution-mcp.saifs.ai/mcp using the Streamable HTTP transport. The server returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate: Bearer … resource_metadata=… challenge, so OAuth-aware clients sign in automatically.

Tools

ToolWhat it does
execute_codeRuns allow-listed Python and returns stdout, stderr, exit code, and any PDF written with fpdf (output("name.pdf"), download link expires in 1 hour). Non-Python is rejected with a one-line warning.

Example prompts

  • “Run Python to compute the mean and standard deviation of this list and print the result.”
  • “Write a short numpy snippet that multiplies these two matrices and prints the product.”
  • “Generate a one-page PDF invoice summary with fpdf and give me the download link.”

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
