Overview

AI-generated overview

Public, read-only remote MCP server that lets an assistant search and load vibe-coding Agent Skills (SKILL.md files) and prompts from TheSkillVault library.

What you can do
  • Search the skill library for skills and prompts matching a task, returning names and one-line descriptions
  • Load the full SKILL.md instructions for a chosen skill by exact name, plus individual supporting files from its folder
  • Browse all skills, categories with counts, and AI model families with matching skill counts
  • List skill bundles and read a bundle's ordered steps, where each skill's output feeds the next
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to pull ready-made coding, deployment, debugging, design or prompt-writing instructions from a curated library instead of improvising them, and to follow multi-step skill bundles for a larger task.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; no local package, API key or account is needed. The client must support Streamable HTTP connections.
Before you install
The server is read-only and serves public data, but the skill instructions it returns are third-party content that the assistant will follow; review loaded skills before letting them drive code changes or deployments. The server code is proprietary, and only the listing files are openly licensed.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open TheSkillVault in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.theskillvault%2Fskills/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

TheSkillVault MCP

TheSkillVault (theskillvault.ai) is a library of Agent Skills (SKILL.md folders) and prompts for vibe coding. This repo holds the listing files for its public, read-only remote MCP server:

https://theskillvault.ai/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Auth: none (public data, read-only)
  • Also exposes every skill as a skill://<name> resource (text/markdown) and as prompts

This repository contains only listing and config files. The server code is proprietary and private; see LICENSE.
