Check if AI assistants and shopping agents can read a website or online store

Overview

AI-generated overview

Checks whether AI assistants and shopping agents can read a public website or online store, and scores its AI visibility and shopping readiness.

What you can do
  • Check AI crawler access by reading robots.txt for nine named crawlers and naming the blocking rule
  • Check page readability and product pages for text, price, stock and structured data fields
  • Run a scored page visibility check and retrieve its result or progress later
  • Look up a store's AI Shopping Readiness Index score and check store AI readiness
  • Check a nonprofit website against visible Google Ad Grants policy points
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to know why AI assistants or shopping agents cannot read their site, whether robots.txt blocks specific crawlers, or how a store or nonprofit site scores on AI readiness and policy checks.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no packages, environment variables or headers declared. The tools fetch public pages over the network, so the target URLs must be publicly reachable.
Before you install
Tools fetch the public pages and domains the user names, so those URLs are sent to the xfix service. Results cover only what is visible in HTML and robots.txt, not CDN or firewall rules, and the visibility check takes time and must be polled.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open xfix in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.xfix%2Fxfix/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

check_store_ai_readiness

Check store AI shopping readiness

Checks whether AI assistants and shopping agents can read an online store. Fetches the public store pages the user names, without running JavaScript. Returns the store's AI Shopping Readiness Index score if the store is in the Index, which AI crawlers its robots.txt allows, and whether one product page shows price, stock and product structured data in its HTML. Use when the user asks if AI can find, read or shop their store. Does not test checkout or log in. Use when the user gives a store or domain.

check_ai_crawler_access

Check AI crawler access

Reads a site's robots.txt the way 9 crawlers do (Googlebot, Bingbot, Applebot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude-SearchBot, Claude-User, PerplexityBot, Perplexity-User) and returns which may fetch the given page and the rule that blocks each one. Does not see CDN or firewall rules. Use when the user asks which bots or crawlers can access, crawl or read a site, or asks about robots.txt.

Parametersurlrequired

check_page_readability

Check page text without JavaScript

Fetches the public page at the given URL without running JavaScript and reports whether its main text is present in the HTML. Checks one page only. Use when the user asks whether a page's content can be read without JavaScript.

Parametersurlrequired

check_product_page

Check product page price and schema

Fetches one public product page without running JavaScript and reports whether the price and stock are in the HTML and which of six product structured data fields are present: price, availability, brand, identifier (gtin or sku), shipping details and aggregate rating. Use when the user gives a product page URL.

Parametersproduct_urlrequired

check_page_visibility

Run xfix search visibility check

Runs the xfix search check on one public page: fetches it without running JavaScript, checks robots.txt for 9 crawlers, measures mobile speed and reviews text, headings and title. Returns a score out of 100, a grade, coverage, any failed gates and the 5 biggest point losses with fixes. Takes about a minute; if not finished within about 25 seconds, returns a check_id to fetch the result later.

Parametersurlrequired

get_page_visibility_result

Get xfix search result

Returns the result of an xfix search check started earlier, or its progress if it is still running.

Parameterscheck_idrequired

lookup_index_score

Look up AI Shopping Readiness Index score

Looks up a store domain in the xfix AI Shopping Readiness Index and returns its published score and the fields shown on the public Index page, or says the store is not in the Index. Does not fetch the store.

Parametersdomainrequired

check_ad_grants_website

Check nonprofit website for Google Ad Grants

Checks a nonprofit's public website against the visible parts of Google's Ad Grants website policy: the domain serving the site itself, HTTPS, a findable mission, a physical address and registration number, real content on the key pages, working links and donate buttons, a mobile viewport and no ad-serving code. Reads the homepage, About, Programs, Contact and the donate destination without running JavaScript or submitting anything. Returns each policy rule as pass, fail or not checked, with what was seen and the fix. Does not access any Google account; passing does not guarantee approval. Use when the user asks about Google Ad Grants eligibility or their nonprofit website's readiness for it.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
