Overview

AI-generated overview

Aide's hosted MCP server lets an AI assistant search your Aide knowledge base, look up Shopify orders, and read, note, reply to and update support…

What you can do
  • Search the Aide knowledge base for answers to support questions
  • Look up Shopify orders tied to customer conversations
  • Find and read support conversations
  • Add notes to and reply to conversations
  • Update conversations, including refunds and cancellations within your approval limits
When to use it
Useful when you run customer support on Aide and want an assistant to draft replies, pull knowledge and order details, and work through conversations as you, without switching tabs.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint hosted by Aide; no local package or API key. Requires an Aide account, signed in through OAuth in your MCP client (for example via the client's login or auth command).
Before you install
The assistant acts as you and every action is recorded under your account. It can reply to and update conversations, and refunds or cancellations above your approval limits wait for an admin. It sees only what you can see in Aide; you can disconnect it in Aide under Settings > Developers.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Aide in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.aide%2Faide/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

    "aide": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://app-api.aide.app/mcp"

README

Aide MCP

Connect your AI agent to Aide, the AI customer service platform: search your knowledge base, look up Shopify orders, and find, read, note, reply to and update support conversations, as yourself and within your role in Aide.

This repository holds install metadata only. The server is hosted by Aide at https://app-api.aide.app/mcp (streamable HTTP). You sign in with your Aide account through OAuth; there is no API key to configure. Requires an Aide account.

Cursor

Install Aide from the Cursor Marketplace, or:

[Add Aide to Cursor]

Or add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

json
{ "mcpServers": { "aide": { "url": "https://app-api.aide.app/mcp" } } }

Gemini CLI

bash
gemini extensions install https://github.com/aideapp/aide-mcp

Start gemini and sign in when prompted, or run /mcp auth aide.

VS Code

bash
code --add-mcp '{"name":"aide","type":"http","url":"https://app-api.aide.app/mcp"}'

Claude Code

bash
claude mcp add --transport http aide https://app-api.aide.app/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

Codex

Add to ~/.codex/config.toml:

toml
[mcp_servers.aide]url = "https://app-api.aide.app/mcp"

Then run codex mcp login aide.

Claude and ChatGPT

Add https://app-api.aide.app/mcp as a custom connector and sign in with your Aide account.

Access and data

This server asks you to sign in, so SourceWeft could not read its tools without an account and has not indexed them. What a connected account sees can depend on that account and its permissions.
