Explains chess ratings, calculates Elo changes, and summarizes any Chess.com or Lichess player's recent public games.
What you can do
Explain what an Elo, Chess.com or Lichess rating means and how it compares with other online players
Calculate rating points won or lost for a win, draw and loss against a given opponent, plus the expected score
Summarize a player's recent public games on Chess.com or Lichess: results, rating trend, results by colour and most played openings
When to use it
Useful when someone asks whether a rating is good, wants to know how many points a game against a given opponent is worth, or wants a quick read on a Chess.com or Lichess player's recent form and openings.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no account, API key or environment variables are declared.
Before you install
The recent-games tool reads a player's public Chess.com or Lichess game history, so that username is sent to the server and to those platforms. Tool results also link to a third-party analysis site.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.chessdna%2Fchess-dna/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Explains what a chess rating (Elo, Chess.com or Lichess) means: whether it is good, where it sits among online players, and a link to the full guide for that level. Use for questions like "is 1200 a good chess rating?"
