Find co-op and multiplayer games for friends by players, platforms and crossplay.

Overview

AI-generated overview

Searches a catalog of co-op and multiplayer games and answers crossplay questions for a group of friends across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.

What you can do
  • Search the game catalog by group size, platforms, crossplay and split screen, with optional filters combined.
  • Look up a named game for its platforms, online and same-screen player counts, crossplay between each platform pair, session length and whether one copy is enough.
  • Check quickly whether two platforms can play a given game together online, with a reason when they cannot.
When to use it
Useful when a group is choosing what to play together and needs options matched to their platforms and player count, or when someone asks whether a specific game supports crossplay or split screen.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint at coopgames.app over streamable HTTP; no packages, environment variables or headers declared. Network access is needed.
Before you install
Read-only lookups; no accounts, credentials or payments are involved. Results come from the provider's catalog, so availability and crossplay details may be incomplete or out of date, and the server asks assistants to link users to the returned game page URL.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open CoopGames in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.coopgames%2Fcoopgames/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

search_games

Use this to find games for a group when you don't have a specific game in mind ("3 friends, one on PS5 and one on Xbox"). Searches CoopGames' catalog of co-op and multiplayer games (PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox, Switch, Switch 2). All filters are optional and combine with AND. With several platforms it returns only games with crossplay between all of them. Returns up to 10 games, most popular first, with the total that match; each has its CoopGames page url, platforms, online and same-screen player counts, crossplay and price. For one known game use get_game instead. Read-only.

get_game

Use this when the user names a specific game and wants the full multiplayer picture: platforms, online and same-screen player counts, crossplay for every pair of its platforms, session length, whether one copy is enough for the group, and the link to its CoopGames page. Accepts the game name or slug. If the name is ambiguous or unknown it returns an error with up to 5 suggestions to retry with. For a single yes/no between two platforms, crossplay_check is lighter. Read-only.

Parametersnamerequired

crossplay_check

Use this for a quick yes/no: can players on two different platforms play this game together online? Returns crossplay true or false plus the game page url. Returns false with a reason if the game is not on both platforms. PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Series and Switch with Switch 2 count as the same family, not crossplay. platform_a and platform_b must differ. For the full matrix of a game use get_game. Read-only.
