EasyCircuit is a remote MCP server for hobby electronics prototyping: it looks up real parts and pinouts, checks wiring, and saves shareable circuit designs.
What you can do
Search the parts catalog by name, function or role, and read a part's details, pin evidence and electrical capabilities
Look up exact pinouts and capabilities, including voltage, direction, polarity, protocols and whether each fact is verified
Get catalog counts by part status and role
Run wiring checks on a complete design without saving it, returning blocking issues and warnings
Save a design that has no blocking issues and return a link that opens it in the EasyCircuit editor
When to use it
Useful when planning, wiring or debugging a hobby prototype such as a microcontroller with sensors, displays, motors, pumps, LEDs or batteries, including when a build misbehaves and the wiring needs checking. It is also meant for turning a described circuit into a shareable, editable design.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at easycircuit.app over streamable HTTP; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. The assistant needs network access to that endpoint.
Before you install
save_design writes a design to the service and returns a link that anyone holding it can open as a copy, so treat saved designs as shareable rather than private. Pin and capability facts may be marked unverified, and the server advises against mains (wall AC) wiring.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.easycircuit%2Feasycircuit/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Searches EasyCircuit's electronics parts catalog by name, function or role (for example 'OLED display', 'temperature sensor', 'ESP32 board'). Returns matching parts with their catalog ids, interfaces, pin roles, and whether each can be ordered in a kit.

get_part
Get part details
Returns one catalog part by its catalog id, including its pin evidence and electrical capabilities.
Parametersidrequired
get_part_pins
Get part pinout
Returns the pinout of an exact part: each pin's function, voltage, direction and polarity, with the source of each fact and any conflicting sources. Long pinouts are paged; next_offset is the offset of the next page.
Parameterslimitqueryrequiredoffset
get_part_capabilities
Get part capabilities
Returns the electrical capabilities of an exact part: pin roles, drive type, voltage ranges, required terminals, protocols, and whether each fact is physically verified.

catalog_summary
Catalog summary
Counts catalog parts by status and role.
Takes no parameters.
check_design
Check circuit design
Runs EasyCircuit's wiring checks on a complete circuit design without saving it. Returns status (passed or blocked), blockingIssues that prevent saving, designWarnings from general electrical rules (such as a part with no ground pin) that do not apply to every part, and reviewWarnings for pin facts that are not yet physically verified.

save_design
Save design to EasyCircuit
Saves a circuit design that has no blocking wiring issues and returns a link that opens it in the EasyCircuit editor, with schematic, breadboard and perfboard views, editing, and parts ordering. Anyone with the link can open a copy. Designs with blocking issues are not saved.
