AI speaking coach: feedback on speeches from text or audio, plus topics, pronunciation and rubrics.

VerifiedStreamable HTTPWeb executableKnowledge & MemoryMedia & Design

Overview

AI-generated overview

A hosted AI speaking coach that gives feedback on speeches and recordings, plus practice topics, pronunciation guides and rubrics.

What you can do
  • Analyze a speech transcript for filler words, rhetorical devices, grammar, vocabulary and coherence scores with fixes
  • Rewrite a speech into a fitting structure such as PREP, STAR or problem-solution, with a score and delivery tip
  • Analyze a spoken recording for pace, pauses, pitch, vocal expression and pronunciation, alongside transcript feedback
  • Get random practice topics for impromptu, persuasive, informative, presentation or IELTS speaking
  • Look up pronunciation guidance for a word and a four-level speaking rubric, and list common filler words with tips to drop them
When to use it
Useful when someone wants structured feedback on a speech, talk, interview answer or recording, or wants practice topics and reference material for speaking practice. It suits coaching and self-improvement conversations rather than production workflows.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing to install or run locally. No API key, headers or account are needed. Clients that only start local stdio servers need a bridge such as mcp-remote. Audio analysis needs a public https audio URL or base64 audio within the stated size and length limits.
Before you install
Submitted text and audio are sent to a third-party service; the README says they are not stored, and a daily salted IP hash is kept for rate limits. Free usage is capped per network per day, so heavy use will hit limits. Audio must be supplied as a public URL or base64 payload, so avoid sending sensitive recordings.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Speakeroo speaking coach in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.speakeroo%2Fspeaking-coach/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "speakeroo": {      "url": "https://mcp.speakeroo.app/mcp"    }  }}

A client that only starts local (stdio) servers can bridge to it with npx -y mcp-remote https://mcp.speakeroo.app/mcp.

Limits

Per network, resetting at 00:00 UTC:

  • 5 text analyses a day, shared by analyze_transcript and refine_transcript, at most 3 a minute
  • 1 spoken analysis a day; a try that fails on our side does not count, up to 3 tries a day
  • 60 reference lookups a minute

Privacy

Submitted text and audio are used to produce the response and are not stored. Audio uploaded as base64 is held only for the call and deleted when it ends. Your IP address is used only to apply the limits: we keep a salted hash of it that changes every day, and delete it after two days. We count tool usage anonymously (which tool, whether it worked, which client connected), never with your text, audio or IP. See the privacy policy.

analyze_transcript

Analyze a speech transcript

Coach a speech from its text. Returns weak and filler words with firmer alternatives, rhetorical devices, delivery and rhetoric feedback, grammar/vocabulary/coherence scores (1-10) on the Speakeroo rubric, and word-level issues with the excerpt and a fix. Input: 30-1500 words. Text cannot show pace, pauses, pitch or pronunciation; use analyze_speech with a recording for those. Free, 5 text analyses a day per network, shared with refine_transcript.

Parameterstopiccontexttranscriptrequired

refine_transcript

Restructure a speech

Rewrite a speech into a clear structure (PREP, STAR, problem-solution, rule of three and others) chosen to fit it. Shares the daily text allowance with analyze_transcript.

Parameterstopiccontexttranscriptrequired

Limits: up to 120 seconds and 10 MB; mp3, m4a/mp4, wav, webm, ogg or flac; at least 30 spoken words. Pass audioUrl (public https) or audioBase64. Free: 1 analysis a day per network; a try that fails on our side does not count, up to 3 tries a day. Audio is deleted once the response is sent.
