GetFit is a remote MCP server that lets an assistant build, search and read fitness workouts tailored to available time, equipment and constraints.
What you can do
Build a complete workout session from available minutes, equipment and things to avoid, including warm-up, sets, reps and safety notes, delivered in chat with a link to run it in GetFit's Player. Search published workouts on Explore by body area, name, exercise, gear, duration, discipline and source. Read a full workout by slug, including author, discipline, duration, warm-up, coach note and every exercise with sets, reps, rest and cues. List contributors who publish workouts, with handle, name, bio, location and workout count, and read a single contributor by handle.
When to use it
Useful when someone asks for a workout that fits a given amount of time and equipment, or wants to browse existing published workouts and their authors. It suits everyday fitness planning in chat rather than personal plan or schedule management, which needs a separate personal connector.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at thegetfit.app; no sign-in, API key, environment variable or header is declared. Network access to the endpoint is needed.
Before you install
The server is free and needs no credentials, and the listed tools only build, search and read workouts and contributor profiles. Personal profile, plans and schedule are not available through this connector; the server points to a separate personal connector for those. Workout content is general fitness guidance, not medical advice.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.thegetfit%2Fgetfit/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
What workout can I do with this time, this gear, and this body? GetFit's coach builds a complete session that fits the minutes, uses only the equipment they have, and steers around anything they want to avoid. Give the person the whole workout in the chat — warm-up, every exercise with sets, reps, rest and effort — and read out the safety_notes. The workout is also posted to GetFit's public Explore page (no personal details), and `link` opens it in GetFit, where the Player runs it with timers and rest countdowns. Inputs (all optional): focus, minutes, equipment, avoid, level, goal, intensity. Example: {"focus":"legs","minutes":30,"equipment":"from home","avoid":["knees"]}.
What workouts are on GetFit for legs / 20 minutes / dumbbells? Searches published workouts on Explore by body area, name, exercise and gear. If nothing fits, say so and offer build_workout to make one. Inputs: query, focus, max_minutes, equipment, discipline, source (people | agent | any), limit (default 5, max 20). Example: {"query":"legs","max_minutes":30,"equipment":"dumbbells"}.
Show me that workout in full. Returns author, discipline, duration, warm-up, coach note and every exercise (sets, reps, rest, cues). Input: slug from search_workouts. Example: {"slug":"the-45-minute-pull-day"}.
