Stdio Proxy
app.undisk.mcpPublished by mcp.undisk.appv0.46.2Updated Oct 27, 2026
Undisk MCP: safe file memory for AI agents.
Overview
Local stdio-to-HTTP bridge that connects MCP clients to Undisk, a hosted versioned file-storage service for AI agents.
- What you can do
- Bridges a local stdio MCP client to the hosted Undisk MCP server over HTTP.
- Gives the assistant access to Undisk's 25 tools for file operations, version control, workspace administration, introspection and sandboxed compute.
- Every write creates an immutable version, actions are audited, and changes can be reversed in a single call.
- When to use it
- Use it when your MCP client only speaks stdio (for example a Docker or local desktop client) but you want the hosted Undisk file-memory service with versioned, auditable, reversible file changes.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local npm package (@undisk-mcp/stdio-proxy) on the user's machine, so Node.js is needed. Requires an Undisk API key supplied in the UNDISK_API_KEY environment variable, obtainable by signing up on the Undisk site. Network access to the hosted Undisk service is required. Desktop only.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Stdio Proxy in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
Undisk MCP (mcp.undisk.app)
This repository is a public issue tracker for Undisk MCP versioned file storage for AI agents.
What is Undisk MCP?
Undisk sits between AI agents and the filesystem over MCP. Every write creates an immutable version. Every action is audited. Any change can be reversed in a single call. The agent gets full capability; the human keeps full control.
25 MCP tools covering file operations, version control, workspace administration, introspection, and sandboxed compute.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
