URL2Ad turns a public web page into a free, watermarked 15-second animated video ad and lets an assistant start, check and revise it.
What you can do
Start a free watermarked 15-second video ad from a public web page URL and the user's e-mail, in the page's language
Check an ad's state (building, preview_ready, paid, failed, unavailable), its page link, remaining changes and failure reason, optionally waiting for it
Request a rebuild of an existing ad with different wording, colors or images, using up one of the included changes
When to use it
When a user wants a short video ad for their own website, product, app or store and is willing to give their page address and e-mail. Useful for getting a quick free preview before deciding whether to pay for a final version.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at url2ad.app over streamable HTTP; no package, environment variable or header is declared. The user must supply a public page URL they own and their own e-mail address. Ads take a few minutes to build.
Before you install
The server asks for the user's e-mail address and their own page URL, and the ad is generated from that page's public content. Only the free watermarked preview is described; a paid state exists, so confirm costs with the user before anything beyond the free preview. Each change request consumes one of the limited included changes.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.url2ad%2Furl2ad/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Starts building a free watermarked 15-second video ad from a public web page, in the language of that page. Use it when the user asks for a video ad for their site, product, app or store. The address must be the user's own, given by them in this conversation: never guess it or use someone else's. It receives the link by e-mail. Calling it again with the same page and address returns the same ad.

get_ad_status
Check where a video ad stands
Returns the state of an ad started with create_ad: building, preview_ready, paid, failed or unavailable, with its page link, the changes left and the reason for a failure. Use it when the user asks whether their ad is ready, or before saying that it is. To wait for an ad being built, pass wait_seconds and call again while the status is building.

request_change
Change a video ad
Rebuilds an existing ad with a change the user asked for, such as other wording, colors or images. It uses up one of the changes left, and one free change is included, so call it only when the user asked for this change, and pass their request as they said it. The new version takes a few minutes: follow it with get_ad_status.
