Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP connector that lets an assistant read Tesla vehicle status and send commands like lock, climate and charging through Tesla's official Fleet API.

What you can do
  • Check setup progress, account, Tesla OAuth and virtual key pairing status
  • Read vehicle state, battery and range, charging status and history, location, summary and nearby Superchargers without waking the car
  • Lock, unlock, open trunk or frunk, remote start, honk, flash lights, wake the car, and set sentry mode
  • Control climate, seat heaters, charging start/stop, charge limit and scheduled departure
  • Send a destination to the car and read Powerwall or solar energy usage
  • View pricing, start or cancel a subscription, and open the Stripe customer portal
When to use it
Useful when you want to ask an assistant about your Tesla's charge, range, location or charging history, or to issue commands such as preconditioning, locking or starting a charge. It suits owners willing to complete Tesla OAuth, virtual key pairing and a paid subscription.
Requirements
Remote hosted endpoint; no local install. Requires creating an account with an email, completing Tesla OAuth sign-in, pairing the Tesla virtual key, and an active trial or paid subscription via Stripe checkout. A vehicle must be linked to the account.
Before you install
Commands change the physical car: unlock, remote start, trunk, climate, charging and sentry mode; unlock, remote start and trunk need confirm=true unless confirmations are disabled, and some are blocked in read-only mode. Billing runs through Stripe with a card required for the yearly trial; monthly charges on first checkout. Wakes and cache misses consume a metered monthly allowance. Location and vehicle data go to the hosted service and Tesla.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Control Your Tesla in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/app.vercel.control-your-tesla%2Fcontrol-your-tesla/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
