Verify a company before paying it: OFAC sanctions, UK/Canada registries, contractor licences (x402)

Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for pre-payment checks: package safety, business and Québec contractor verification, plus paid text utilities billed in USDC.

What you can do
  • Check npm and PyPI packages: safety verdict with OSV vulnerabilities, deprecation, install scripts and typosquat signals, or cheaper metadata only
  • Verify companies and contractors: US restricted-party lists, UK/Canada registries, GLEIF entity status, and Québec RBQ licence, RENA and SEAO contract checks
  • Search the web and read the top pages in one call, with official-sources mode and freshness filters
  • Run paid text utilities: summarize, translate French/English, and extract text or a fetched URL into JSON matching a schema
  • Assess homework assignments for AI-completion risk with per-question breakdowns
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to vet something before money or trust changes hands: installing a dependency, hiring or paying a contractor, onboarding a company, or checking whether an assignment is AI-resistant. Also handy for one-call web research and schema-shaped extraction.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no account, API key or environment variable is declared. The summarize, translate, extract and extract_url tools are pay-per-call in USDC on Base over x402, so a funded wallet and the PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header are needed for those. Network access to the endpoint and to the sources it queries.
Before you install
Four tools spend real money per call in USDC on Base (roughly $0.02–$0.04 each) and require signing a payment header, so set spending limits and expect charges on every invocation. Queries, pasted text and URLs are sent to a third-party service. Verdicts are advisory and drawn from external registries and lists, so confirm blocking results before acting. No authentication is declared for the endpoint.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Tolca in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ca.tonbot.tolca%2Ftolca/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
