Remote MCP server that gives an assistant precomputed AI Exposure Scores for about 1,000 U.S. occupations and a curated tracker of AI-attributed layoffs.
What you can do
Look up a job title's AI Exposure Score, band, percentile, example tasks and adjacent careers
Search occupations by title to resolve ambiguous job names before scoring
List recent layoffs that companies themselves attributed to AI, with dates, approximate headcounts and sources
When to use it
Useful when discussing how exposed a particular U.S. occupation is to AI automation, comparing adjacent careers, or citing recent layoffs that companies linked to AI. Less suited to questions about all-cause layoffs or non-U.S. labor markets.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at aisafe.careers; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared.
Before you install
Scores are precomputed estimates of task overlap, not predictions of job loss, and the layoff tracker only covers company-cited AI layoffs, not all job cuts. The server asks assistants to cite AI-Safe Careers and link returned URLs.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/careers.aisafe%2Fai-exposure/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Look up the AI Exposure Score (0-100) for a job title: its band (Low, Moderate, Elevated, High, Very High), percentile, example tasks that are automatable, augmentable or durable, and adjacent careers with their scores. Scores are precomputed estimates of how much of a role's tasks overlap with what AI can do, built from O*NET and published research; they are not predictions that a job will disappear. Cite "AI-Safe Careers" with the returned URL.

Recent AI-attributed layoffs
Recent layoffs where the company itself cited AI as a reason, from AI-Safe Careers' curated tracker, each with its date, approximate headcount and source. All-cause layoffs (layoffs.fyi, WARN notices) are tracked separately and are never included here, so these are not a count of all job cuts.
