Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted dopost MCP server that lets an AI assistant draft, schedule, publish and analyze social media posts across 12 networks.

What you can do
  • Discover connected accounts and workspaces, and list upcoming posts
  • Draft and schedule posts, manage recurring posts, and delete posts or media after confirmation
  • Manage the media library and check platform limits
  • Read account, post, content and audience analytics
  • Return temporary download URLs for public media you own or are permitted to use
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to turn material such as a changelog into social posts, queue them for a chosen time and network, and review performance afterwards, with approval before anything is published.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at mcp.dopost.co over streamable HTTP, authorized through the dopost OAuth flow. Requires an existing dopost Creator, Pro or Agency account with API access; publishing needs a connected social account, and analytics need the analytics:read scope and an active paid plan. No API key or local process is included.
Before you install
It can publish, schedule and delete posts and media, so review drafts, destinations and timing before approving. Analytics access depends on the analytics:read scope and a paid plan. The hosted server cannot read local file paths, so local uploads need the separate stdio package. Metrics may be missing or stale depending on platform support.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open dopost in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/co.dopost%2Fdopost/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

dopost plugin

Plan, draft, schedule, publish, and analyze social media content with dopost from Cursor and Codex. The plugin combines a social-content skill with the hosted dopost MCP server at https://mcp.dopost.co/mcp.

Package

  • .cursor-plugin/plugin.json: Cursor manifest.
  • .codex-plugin/plugin.json: Codex manifest.
  • mcp.cursor.json: Cursor remote MCP configuration.
  • .mcp.json: OpenAI marketplace MCP configuration for the Codex manifest.
  • skills/dopost-social-content/: instructions for account selection, drafting, publishing approval, scheduling, and analytics.
  • assets/: plugin logo and icon.
  • n8n/: independent community node package for n8n. See its installation, credentials, and operations guide.

Cursor's manifest explicitly references mcp.cursor.json and skills/. Its MCP URL uses the canonical endpoint without the OpenAI marketplace client identifier. The OpenAI configurations retain their marketplace identifier. No separate MCP server process or API key is included in the package.

Connect your account

After loading the plugin in a compatible client, authorize the dopost MCP connection through its OAuth flow. Sign in to dopost and review the requested access. Account connection, social-platform authorization, and billing are managed in dopost.

Authenticated features require an existing dopost Creator, Pro or Agency account with API access. Publishing also requires a connected social account. Analytics require the analytics:read scope, an active paid plan, and available data. If analytics permission is missing, reauthorize the connection.

See the dopost MCP setup guide for connection instructions.

Example requests

  • "Show my connected social accounts and upcoming posts."
  • "Turn this changelog into LinkedIn and X posts. Show me the drafts first."
  • "After I approve the wording, schedule this post tomorrow at 10:00 Europe/Madrid."
  • "Compare my social performance over the last 30 days."

The skill drafts content in the conversation and asks for approval of the content, destination, media, and timing before writing. It also requires confirmation before deleting a post or media item.

Capabilities and limits

The hosted server supports account and workspace discovery, post scheduling and management, recurring posts, media-library management, platform limits, and account, post, content, and audience analytics.

Supported public-media download tools return temporary download URLs for content you own or have permission to use. They do not transfer binary files through MCP.

The remote server cannot read local file paths. Local-file upload_media is available in the separate stdio package, @dopost/mcp-server, rather than in this hosted plugin. Metrics may be unavailable or stale depending on platform support and collection status.

The plugin files are distributed under the MIT license. Use of the dopost service is subject to its terms of service.

This server asks you to sign in, so SourceWeft could not read its tools without an account and has not indexed them. What a connected account sees can depend on that account and its permissions.
