Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that turns a coding agent into a growth engineer: site audits, content PRs, indexing, AI-search tracking and paid growth tests.

What you can do
  • Audit the site and connected accounts, then plan and prioritize growth moves
  • Fix the site and ship blog, glossary, comparison and tool pages as pull requests
  • Get pages indexed on Google and Bing, and track AI crawler and ChatGPT referral traffic
  • Answer analytics questions, run A/B tests, and draft launches, directory listings, community replies and Gmail drafts
  • Run paid boosts and studies on X, Meta, Reddit and TikTok, with the agent asking before spending
  • Audit and improve an iOS App Store listing, and produce slideshows, videos and UGC ads
When to use it
For founders and small teams whose coding agent already ships product features and who want the same agent to handle SEO, AI-search visibility, content, launches and small paid tests on their own site repo. Best suited to Next.js, Astro, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Hugo or plain HTML sites.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at api.shipfound.co over streamable HTTP, with OAuth sign-in once per machine (or an API key starting with wl_ sent as an Authorization bearer header, for CI or browserless machines). A Claude Code or Codex plugin install is optional. The agent's own Claude or ChatGPT subscription runs the work, and a prepaid Shipfound balance covers search data and visibility runs.
Before you install
Paid: usage draws on a prepaid balance, API keys carry a daily spending cap (10 dollars by default), and studies and boosts cost money, though the agent is meant to state prices and wait for approval. It writes to your repo as pull requests and fills in browser forms, ads and Gmail drafts, but is described as never posting, merging or sending without you. It stores a device secret in the macOS Keychain or a local config file, and sends audit results, PR and page URLs and checked drafts to…

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Shipfound in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/co.shipfound%2Fshipfound/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

Shipfound

Your coding agent ships features. Shipfound makes it ship customers.

Shipfound turns Claude Code or Codex into your growth engineer. It checks what you have access to, fixes your site for Google and AI search, ships blog, glossary and comparison pages as pull requests, gets your pages indexed on Google and Bing, and installs tracking that shows when GPTBot, PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot read your pages and when ChatGPT sends you a visitor. The Shipfound server checks every result itself, and labels each one Verified or Claimed.

This repo is the plugin for both hosts: one skill with its routines, the /shipfound:* commands for Claude Code, the Codex plugin manifest, the MCP server config, and crawler beacon snippets. The data, verification and results app live at https://www.shipfound.co.

Install

Pick your agent. Both get the same skill, the same routines and the same remote MCP server, and both sign in once per machine.

Claude Code

bash
claude plugin marketplace add shipfound/shipfoundclaude plugin install shipfound@shipfound

Then open a new Claude Code session in your site's repo and run /shipfound:audit. From then on, start each day with /shipfound:grow: it checks what changed and what is still failing, then offers one move. The shell commands work for every Claude Code surface (terminal, VS Code, Cursor, desktop). In the terminal CLI you can also install from inside a session with /plugin marketplace add shipfound/shipfound and /plugin install shipfound@shipfound.

Sign in once: the first Shipfound command opens a sign-in page on shipfound.co in your browser. Pick your site and choose Allow; that session carries on, and every later session on this machine starts signed in. One sign-in covers all your products: each session works on the product whose repo it is in. The plugin keeps a random secret for this machine in the macOS Keychain (elsewhere in ~/.config/shipfound/device, readable only by you) and sends it with each call; Shipfound keeps only its hash. To sign out on this machine, run sh scripts/device.sh forget from the plugin folder; to sign out everywhere, revoke the key in the results app (Settings, MCP connection).

Codex

bash
codex plugin marketplace add shipfound/shipfoundcodex plugin add shipfound@shipfoundcodex mcp login shipfound

codex mcp login opens your browser to sign in (OAuth). Then start a new Codex thread in your site's repo and ask: "Run the Shipfound audit." From then on, start each day by asking: "What should I do today?" In the ChatGPT desktop app you can also install it from Plugins once the marketplace is added; it shows up under Shipfound.

Codex has no plugin slash commands, so you ask in words ("fix the site", "get us indexed", "status") and the skill runs the matching routine. To call the skill by name, type $shipfound:shipfound.

MCP server only (no plugin). If you would rather not install the plugin:

bash
codex mcp add shipfound --url https://api.shipfound.co/mcpcodex mcp login shipfound

Then copy AGENTS.md into your repo. Full steps: docs/codex.md.

Sign in with an API key instead

For CI or a machine without a browser, make a key in the Shipfound app (Settings, MCP server; it starts with wl_). Each key carries a daily spending cap ($10 by default).

  • Claude Code: add the server with the key as a fixed header, and use it in place of the plugin's server (turn that one off in /mcp; the skill and routines keep working):

claude mcp add --transport http shipfound-key https://api.shipfound.co/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $SHIPFOUND_API_KEY"
  • Codex plugin: the plugin's server signs in with OAuth only. Add codex mcp add shipfound-key --url https://api.shipfound.co/mcp --bearer-token-env-var SHIPFOUND_API_KEY with SHIPFOUND_API_KEY exported, and turn the plugin's server off (docs/codex.md).

  • Codex, MCP server only: codex mcp add shipfound --url https://api.shipfound.co/mcp --bearer-token-env-var SHIPFOUND_API_KEY, with SHIPFOUND_API_KEY exported.

Point at another server

  • Claude Code: the MCP server defaults to https://api.shipfound.co/mcp. Set SHIPFOUND_API_URL to use another API origin (staging, or http://localhost:4000 when developing Shipfound itself); the plugin appends /mcp/plugin.

  • Codex: the plugin's server URL is fixed (Codex does not expand variables in plugin config). For staging or local work, add your server by hand (codex mcp add shipfound-dev --url http://localhost:4000/mcp) and turn the plugin's server off in ~/.codex/config.toml:

    toml
    [plugins."shipfound@shipfound".mcp_servers.shipfound]enabled = false

Routines

Each routine is a file in skills/shipfound/routines/. Claude Code runs it as a command; in Codex you ask for it.

You need two: /shipfound:audit on day 1, then /shipfound:grow every day after. Grow reads what happened since your last session, what is due to verify and what is still failing on your live site, then offers the one move worth making, with its price. It does not offer the same move two days running, and a move you decline waits a week. The rest are there when you want something specific.

Claude CodeCodex: askDoes
/shipfound:grow"What should I do today?"Every day: what changed, what is due, what is still failing, then one move to make. Start here after the audit
/shipfound:login"Sign in to Shipfound"Checks you are signed in and tells you how if not (once per machine). Other commands do it for you when needed
/shipfound:audit"Run the Shipfound audit"Access audit of 12 areas (repo, hosting, Search Console, Bing, Gmail, Reddit, X, TikTok and Instagram, GitHub, tracking, assets, marketplace fit) and the first baseline visibility run
/shipfound:plan"What should I do next?"The ranked queue for this week, built only from what the audit found open
/shipfound:fix"Fix the site"Tracking first, then site fixes as one pull request per theme
/shipfound:write <type>"Write a glossary page about X"One glossary, answer, comparison, alternatives or long-form page, gated and opened as a PR
/shipfound:convert"Is our home page clear? Can visitors get to signup and pay?"Your home page read line by line the way a first-time visitor reads it, and every button followed to signup and payment, on a phone too, stopping before any form or payment. What loses a visitor fixed as one PR, with copy from your own words. Free
/shipfound:offer"Make a founding offer"A founding price, lifetime deal or pre-order for your first customers. You set every number; your agent ships the page and fills the discount in your payment dashboard for you to save. Boosts on X lead with it
/shipfound:pricing"Why does nobody pay?"Whether people who reach your pricing or paywall can pay: each step to paid counted, the way to pay walked on a phone without paying, your way in read against products like yours, and one change as an A/B test judged on paid per visitor. Your prices stay yours. Free
/shipfound:build <tool or skill>"Build a free tool for our site"A free tool your buyers search for (a checker, generator or calculator), no signup, one link to your product, as a PR; or an agent skill for your product that coding agents install with one command, published by you
/shipfound:index"Get us indexed"Sitemap and IndexNow key by PR, then sitemap submits and Request indexing in your browser
/shipfound:status"Shipfound status"Your balance, what shipped, what is verified and what is still claimed, then what you can do next
/shipfound:analytics <question>Any analytics questionAnswers it in plain words with numbers
/shipfound:week"Run the Shipfound week"The Monday routine. The server-side weekly re-check is not built yet; the routine does it by hand
/shipfound:list"List us on directories"The directories AI answers cite, picked for your product from about 270 and filled in your browser one after another; you press submit. Review sites when you ask
/shipfound:launch"Launch us on Show HN"Show HN, Indie Hackers, DevHunt or Product Hunt: drafted from your site in your voice, filled in your browser; you post it and answer the comments. Each launch's visits and signups counted on their own
/shipfound:reach"Draft a reply to this thread"Community replies and Gmail drafts. Thread discovery comes later
/shipfound:notes"Write a build in public post", "Write an X Article"Build in public posts on X and Reddit about your product: a milestone, a launch, a feature you shipped told from the problem it solves, a tool that went live, a week of work. Every 14 days, a flagship X Article: the full story with a designed cover and images of your real product (an X thread if your account has no Premium). In your own voice, learned once from your own posts. Your agent fills them in; you post. Free
/shipfound:research"What do products a step ahead of us do that we don't?"Up to 8 products a step ahead of you, found for you: ones doing the same job, ones your buyers also pay for, and ones sold the same way. What each shows today (home page and signup, free tools, pricing, launches, best X posts) and how it started (its first home pages, launches, early posts), turned into moves with a first step your agent carries out. Remove any that is not like you. $0.88 a study, and your agent asks first
/shipfound:ideas"What features do people ask for?"What people on Reddit and X say about the problem your product solves, grouped into features at least two of them ask for, each with their posts and the smallest version worth shipping first. Your agent builds the first version as a pull request once you say yes, or says on your site what your product already does. $0.61 a study, and your agent asks first
/shipfound:followup"Write to the people who signed up and got stuck"A personal note to each person who signed up and stopped before getting going, saying what they did, with the one offer you pick, drafted in your mailbox for you to send. Read two weeks later on whether they activated or paid. Free
/shipfound:test"What should we A/B test?"A/B tests: a change proposed from your analytics, sized from your traffic, shipped as a variant, read honestly, winner shipped
/shipfound:shorts"Make TikTok slideshows"Slideshows for TikTok and Instagram in the formats working for your buyers this week, made from your own screens, saved to your Desktop for you to post; then creators in your niche to pay for a post. The week's read is priced
/shipfound:ugc"Make an AI UGC video"An AI presenter video for an ad or your own TikTok and Instagram: a presenter (AI-generated, labelled so) says your hook, then your real screens play on their laptop or phone. Your accounts are checked first; priced from its cost, asked for first
/shipfound:giveaway"Do a giveaway"Something your product makes, given to the first people who reply to your post on X or Reddit: a result done for each, capped credits, an asset on your site, or founding seats. Three picked for your product with what each costs you; you set the cap. Your agent writes the post, makes each one and drafts a reply to each person; you post. Free
/shipfound:social"Set up TikTok and Instagram"Your own TikTok and Instagram started for your slideshows and videos: each signup opened in your Chrome for you to create, then the profile filled from your site (name, bio, logo, a tagged link to your site or App Store page), switched to Business and connected for ads. You press every create and save. Free
/shipfound:video"Make a video of my product"Your product's screens recreated and animated by your agent, in your own logo, fonts and colors, no sound, 30 seconds at most, made on your machine and checked frame by frame. No screen recording. Every boost carries one. Free
/shipfound:boost"Boost this post on X", "Run a Facebook ad", "Run a Reddit ad", "Run a TikTok ad"A small paid test of your messages on X (your own posts), Meta, Reddit or TikTok (ads written for it). Your agent checks the ad account, puts the platform's pixel on your site through Shipfound's script (nothing to deploy), fills Ads Manager, and you press Launch; read on clicks and traced to signups. Your money, never spent without your yes
/shipfound:aso"Fix our App Store listing"Your iOS app: a free listing audit, then fixes and new languages (as a PR, or staged in your next version), a to-do list from your reviews, its own site on shipfound.site, screenshot A/B tests, custom product pages and Apple Ads proposals you approve, each change verified once live

Supported stacks for pull requests: Next.js, Astro, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Hugo and plain HTML. Other stacks get the audit, indexing and analytics, and no code changes.

What it never does

  • Never posts, publishes or sends without you. It fills the box; you press the button.
  • Never merges code. Every change is a pull request on its own branch, with a preview.
  • Never uses accounts you don't own, and never creates accounts for you.
  • No fake reviews, testimonials or quotes.
  • No karma farming, warmup automation or vote manipulation.
  • No bulk email. Gmail drafts only, one to one, at most 20 a day.
  • No Wikipedia or Wikidata edits about you or your competitors.
  • Never calls something done until the Shipfound server has checked it live.

Pricing

Your agent's work runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription. Sign up and everything is open, with no plans: you pay as you go from a prepaid balance, for search data and AI visibility runs. You get $10 free, no card, once your first project is confirmed (it lasts 30 days); top-ups of $10, $25, $50 or $100 never expire, and auto top-up is off unless you turn it on. Analytics (100k events a month) and A/B tests are free, and so are the audit and the first visibility check. The agent states the price before any step over $1, and before every study, and waits for your yes. Prices: https://www.shipfound.co. Our own numbers, every answer included: https://www.shipfound.co/proof/shipfound.

Privacy

  • The agent works on your machine. Your code is not uploaded to Shipfound; only what the agent records through the MCP tools is sent (the audit result, URLs of PRs, pages and listings, and drafts you check with check_content).
  • Browser and Gmail work happens in your own Chrome (Claude in Chrome, or the Codex Browser plugin with its Chrome extension) and through your own Gmail connector. Shipfound never sees your passwords or cookies.
  • tracking.js is cookieless by default: it stores nothing in the browser and the tracker drops the IP after deriving a daily visitor id. Attribution mode keeps a first-party id for 13 months and needs consent where the law requires it. Whether you need a banner depends on where you and your visitors are.
  • The crawler beacon sends only requests whose user agent is on the crawler list in snippets/crawlers.json. Requests from people are never sent by the beacon.
