Lets an assistant upscale videos to 1080p, 2K or 4K, upload local files, and track tasks and credit balance.
What you can do
Provides tools to start a video upscale to 1080p, 2K or 4K, check a task's status (queued, processing, completed with an output URL, or failed with credits refunded), and list your tasks newest first, including ones started on the website. It also reports your credit balance and per-second pricing by resolution, and can issue a signed upload URL for local video files up to 100MB.
When to use it
Use it when you want an assistant to enhance video resolution and follow the job through to a downloadable result, or to check pricing and credits before spending. Useful when the source video is local and needs uploading first.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at videoupscaler.co; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. Uploading a local file requires a signed URL from create_upload and a PUT of the file bytes with the returned headers. A paid credit balance is needed for upscaling.
Before you install
Upscaling charges credits for the whole video, with length read from the file, so cost depends on duration and resolution; check get_account first. Uploaded videos are sent to a third-party service. Signed upload URLs expire in one hour. If a start call times out, check list_tasks before retrying to avoid duplicate charged tasks.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/co.videoupscaler%2Fvideo-upscaler/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Start upscaling a video to 1080p, 2k or 4k. Charges credits for the whole video (its length is read from the file) and returns the task. Downloading a large video can take a few minutes. If this call times out or fails, first call list_tasks to see whether the task was created, and retry only with the SAME idempotency_key: a new key charges again.
Get an upscale task. Status is queued, processing, completed (output_url is the result) or failed (credits were refunded). Set wait_seconds (up to 45) to wait for it to finish before returning; call again if it is still running.
