Winning Facebook and Instagram ads, competitor ads, hooks and angles for your AI agent. Read-only.
Overview
Connects an AI assistant to the AdSwipeFile library of Facebook and Instagram ad creative, so it can search competitor ads, hooks and angles.
- What you can do
- Search a curated library of real Meta ads by brand, niche or format
- Read the hooks, angles, audiences and copy filed with each ad
- Compare competitor ads and surface angles that are not being used
- Review the ads you saved and the brands you follow
- Draft new hooks for your product based on ads found
- When to use it
- Useful for marketers, founders and copywriters who want an assistant to research competitor Facebook and Instagram creative, summarize hooks and angles, or draft new ad hooks grounded in real examples.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint at adswipefile.com, added as a custom connector or via an HTTP transport entry. An AdSwipeFile account is required and sign-in happens through an OAuth 2.1 browser flow; there is no API key to copy. Network access to the provider's server is needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open AdSwipeFile in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.adswipefile%2Fadswipefile/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

AdSwipeFile plugin
Winning Facebook and Instagram ads, competitor ads, hooks and angles, in Claude, ChatGPT and Codex: the AdSwipeFile ad library, searched by your AI agent.
AdSwipeFile files real Meta ads by brand, niche (industry) and format (UGC, before and after, testimonial, comparison…), each with its audiences and copy. This plugin connects your AI assistant to the library over MCP and adds skills that tell it how to research competitor ads, read hooks and angles, and cite every ad it uses.
What you can ask
- "What ads is Liquid Death running? Sum up its hooks and angles."
- "Show me winning UGC ads from skincare brands, with their hooks."
- "Find ads about protein powder."
- "Find testimonial ads for supplements and write 3 hooks for my product."
- "Compare the ads of my competitors and tell me which angles nobody runs."
- "Show me the ads I've saved and what they have in common."
- "What have the brands I follow launched this week?"
What is in here
The skills are plain Markdown instructions. The plugin ships no scripts, hooks or executables and installs no packages.
Install
ChatGPT: use the root plugin.json and mcp.json.
Claude Code
Codex: install from this repository; it reads .codex-plugin/plugin.json.
Any MCP client, without the skills
On claude.ai or ChatGPT, add https://adswipefile.com/api/mcp as a custom
connector. Setup for other clients: https://adswipefile.com/docs/mcp.
Sign-in and the data it sends
Connecting opens a browser sign-in to your AdSwipeFile account (OAuth 2.1). An AdSwipeFile account is required; there is no API key to copy. The plugin asks for read access to the ad library and to the ads you saved and the brands you follow on the site. Every tool is read-only: it cannot change your account, your saved ads, your follows or your boards.
The plugin talks to one server, adswipefile.com. When the assistant calls a
tool, the tool's arguments, such as a search query or a brand, niche or format,
are sent to that server. AdSwipeFile records each tool call in its product
analytics (PostHog): the tool name, its arguments (an argument containing an
email address or a phone or card number is replaced first), timing, how the call
turned out (how many results, or that nothing matched, the call was refused or
it failed), errors, the AI client's name and version, and your account
identifier. Calls made close together are grouped into a session (for ChatGPT,
by the anonymous conversation id it sends). When you pick one of the server's
ready-made prompts, it records which one, not what you typed into it. It does
not record the rest of your conversation or the results it sends back, only how
many, and nothing from your machine is sent. See the privacy
policy.
Scope
AdSwipeFile is a reference library of ad creative. It holds no spend, reach or performance figures, cannot create, run or buy ads, and does not generate images or video. It is a curated collection, not a live feed of Meta's ad library.
