Overview

AI-generated overview

A remote MCP server for searching evidence-based agency rankings and a library of credited agency work, and for submitting an agency application.

What you can do
Search ranked agencies by plain-language query, with industry, services, evidence level, summary and profile/contact links per result; look up one agency's full evidence review and standing; browse credited examples of agency work with client, source and contact links; list the industries and service types covered; read how rankings are published; submit a pending agency application with name, website, contact email, industries, services and region.
When to use it
Useful when a user is choosing an agency in Ecom, Legal, SaaS, Finance or Service and wants ranked options with supporting evidence, or wants real examples of agency work; also for an agency that wants to apply for a listing.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package, environment variables or headers are declared. No authentication is declared, though the private agency tools are described as available only after a profile is claimed.
Before you install
join_as_agency stores a pending application containing the agency name, website, contact email, industries, services and region, which is submitted for review; the server asks not to collect phone numbers or street addresses. Rankings are presented as evidence-based and not purchasable, and qualified briefs are not yet open.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Agency Standings in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.agencystandings%2Fagency-standings/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

join_as_agency

Join as an agency

search_agencies

Search agencies

Search Agency Standings. Each result includes its industry, services, evidence level, a one-line evidence summary, profile URL, and contact URL. A plain-language query drops filler words such as agency, firm, best, and top, maps words such as lawyer, Shopify, or software onto an industry, and ranks agencies that match any remaining word. If a location matches nobody, that location is left off and the response includes a note. Ecom, Legal, SaaS, Finance, and Service include rank numbers. Agencies without enough evidence stay unranked and have no rank number. A service, location, or zip filter numbers the matches from 1 in the existing industry order. get_agency keeps each agency's industry rank. Results do not include a numeric score.

Explain how Agency Standings publishes ranks. Real rankings, earned through evidence: client results, testimonials and published work. Agencies can never pay us: not for a rank, a sponsorship or a newsletter spot. The only way up is evidence. Agencies can never sponsor or advertise on Agency Standings or the Big Moves newsletter. Sponsors are products, software tools, AI companies and other non-agency brands. Rank numbers are included. A numeric score is not.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
