Remote MCP server that analyzes artwork and produces screen-printing color separations, film-positive plates, and DTF guidance.
What you can do
Estimate how many spot-color screens a design needs, with detected ink colors and a screen-printing versus DTF recommendation, free and without a key. Run the separation engine to get one grayscale film-positive plate per ink, halftoned and dot-gain compensated, plus a composite print preview. Check remaining separation credits on an API key. Start a credit-pack purchase and get a Stripe Checkout link. Look up pricing for free separations, credit packs, monthly plans, and the desktop app.
When to use it
Useful for screen printers, print shops, and designers who want to check a logo or design's screen count and ink colors, or generate press-ready separations and plates without leaving the assistant.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at aiseparations.com over streamable HTTP; no local install. An X-API-Key header is optional: without it you get free screen estimates and small preview separations, and one full separation per email address. Full metered separations need a key, obtained by email after starting a purchase.
Before you install
buy_credits starts a real purchase and returns a Stripe Checkout link; credit packs cost $29 and $99, and the desktop app is $179. The X-API-Key is a billable credential, and the key is emailed to the address supplied. separate_image with free_email allows only one full separation per email address. Uploaded artwork is sent to a third-party service.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.aiseparations%2Fcolor-separations/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
FREE, no key needed. Analyze artwork for screen printing: how many spot-color screens it needs, the detected ink colors (with named ink matches), whether it's flat/vector or photographic, and whether screen printing or DTF is the better process. Use this first on any logo or design.

separate_image
Run a full color separation
Run the real separation engine on artwork: detected spot inks, one grayscale film-positive plate per ink (halftoned, dot-gain compensated, white underbase on dark garments) plus a composite print preview. With no key: free small preview. With free_email: ONE full separation per email address, plates delivered by email, no watermark. With api_key: metered (1 credit), plates emailed to deliver_email.
Check the remaining separation credits on an AI Separations API key. Free.

buy_credits
Buy a credit pack (hosted checkout)
Start a purchase of an AI Separations credit pack for the user and return a Stripe Checkout link. Packs: credits_sample ($29, 10 separations), credits_shop ($99, 50). Credits never expire; 1 credit = 1 full separation via separate_image. Requires the user's email: the API key is emailed there after payment. Nothing is charged by this tool — the user pays on the returned link.
