When to use it
Useful when answering questions about the history of Alexandria, Egypt, or when a user wants to find articles, partner collections, local heritage events, archive prints, or reuse and licensing terms for an image or document.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package, account, API key or header is declared. Unauthenticated clients receive only article previews, while verified search and answer readers get full eligible text.
Before you install
Read-only: nothing can be booked, bought or licensed through the server, and it only returns links for those actions. Article access differs by client verification. Respect each item's licence and attribution, and do not assume reuse or training rights when no licence is stated.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.alexandria-archive%2Farchive/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Search historical photographs, documents, maps, articles, and events of the Alexandria Archive. Query can be Arabic or English (e.g. 'Stanley Bridge', 'كوم الدكة'). Returns titles and canonical URLs.
