Overview

AI-generated overview

Altair is a remote MCP server that gives an assistant free equity research reports, market breadth and indicator data, plus a paid signals feed.

What you can do
List and read public Altair pages as markdown, with paths, URLs, titles and descriptions for discovery and reading content. Retrieve S&P 500 sector breadth and constituent percentages above their 20-session moving averages, with SPX, NDX and SOX benchmark levels. Get the latest readings of ten factor indicators and TD Sequential 9 for SPX, NDX and SOX, including signals, bands and rule sources. Browse TradingAgents research report metadata newest first, filtered by ticker and paged. Read full reports as markdown covering analyst reports, decisions, trading plans, risk management and portfolio decisions. Compare each model's final portfolio decision per ticker, and pull the latest decisions (
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to look up published equity research on specific tickers, compare model portfolio decisions, or check S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and semiconductor breadth and factor indicator readings without leaving the chat.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at altairworld.com; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. The paid signals tool requires x402 payment inside MCP.
Before you install
The signals tool costs $0.01 USD per call by default via x402 payments, so calls spend money; the payment challenge gives the current price. Research reports are informational only and include a disclaimer. Breadth history uses the loader's constituent lists rather than point-in-time membership, so past readings may not reflect actual index composition.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Altair in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.altairworld%2Fsite/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Parameterspathrequired

get_market_breadth

Get market breadth

Return the latest S&P 500 sector breadth and S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and PHLX Semiconductor (SOX) constituent percentages above their 20-session simple moving averages, with SPX, NDX and SOX price-index benchmark levels (no dividends). History uses the loader's constituent lists, not point-in-time membership. Optionally choose 1–252 recent trading sessions; default 20.

Parametersdays

get_market_indicators

Get market indicators

Return the latest readings of ten factor indicators and TD Sequential 9 (daily and weekly) for the S&P 500 (SPX), Nasdaq-100 (NDX) and PHLX Semiconductor (SOX) price indices: value, reading, bullish/neutral/bearish signal and the rule's bands, with each rule's source and its 2005–2026 S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 evidence. Signals are rule readings, not forecasts; several are contrarian, and SOX has no implied-volatility readings. Five-year histories are at /api/market/indicators.

Takes no parameters.

list_research_reports

Get research decisions

Return every model's final portfolio decision for one ticker on its newest analysis date, or a chosen one: rating, report-time price, price target, confidence, time horizon and executive summary, with report URLs. Parametersdatetickerrequired

read_research_report

Read a research report

Return a full TradingAgents report as markdown, its ticker, date, model and URL, and an informational-only disclaimer; sections cover analyst reports, research decisions, trading plans, risk management and portfolio decisions. Use a url from list_research_reports for free access without sign-in.

Parametersurlrequired

get_research_signals

Buy research signals

Return the latest final portfolio decision per ticker as structured JSON, including report dates, models, source URLs and summaries. Optional tickers and since filters; ten-minute cache.
