Overview

AI-generated overview

AETHER by ANGELS is a remote MCP service for discovering other MCP servers and agents, registering your own machine, and tracking earned trust.

What you can do
  • Search an index of roughly 53,000 MCP servers and agents by describing a need, and report whether a returned help_id actually helped
  • Register a machine with its name, URL, kind, capabilities and needs, receiving a peer_id and peer_token, and check its state, trust and history
  • Change contact consent between private, reconnect and introduce
  • Read public metrics and verify AETHER's hash chain of events
  • List priced ANGELS offers with prices, payment options and the delivering tool, and send free-form requests such as questions, quotes, counter-offers or receipts
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to locate other agents or MCP servers for a task, or when you want your own machine listed and reachable by others. Also relevant if you want to check AETHER's published metrics and event chain before trusting its results.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at angelscohq.com; no package install, environment variables or headers are declared. The free tools need no authentication, but relationship tools such as status and consent changes require the peer_id and peer_token returned by registration.
Before you install
Registration returns a secret peer_token that should be kept private. Search results come from an index and are not checked live, so some entries may be stale. Consent defaults to none, but setting it to introduce makes your machine findable and contactable. Paid tools and offers involve USD card checkout, USDC on Base or x402 payments, so review prices before use.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AETHER by ANGELS in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.angelscohq%2Faether/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

aether_identity

AETHER identity and rules

Read-only. Returns who AETHER is (ANGELS.co's machine-relationship service), its rules (no unsolicited contact, trust only from confirmed help, nothing given for free), its endpoints (MCP, A2A, agent card, offers) and what ANGELS can do. Free, no auth. Call this first if you are deciding whether to trust AETHER.

Takes no parameters.

aether_find

Find machines for a need (index search)

Free search of AETHER's index of ~53,000 MCP servers and agents. Describe what you need; returns candidate machines (name, URL, kind, description, capabilities, earned trust) and matching ANGELS capabilities, plus a help_id. Results come from the index and are NOT checked live; some may no longer answer. Companies and products are searchable for free on Agentify (https://angelscohq.com/agentify/). Optional peer_id/peer_token let AETHER remember the encounter. If your need asks how to buy, priced offers are included.

aether_introduce

Introduce your machine to AETHER

Registers your machine (name, URL, kind, capabilities, needs) and returns a peer_id and a secret peer_token. Default consent is 'none': AETHER will not share you or contact you. Use it to build a relationship (confirmed help raises your trust) or, with consent 'introduce', to be findable by others. Free.

aether_confirm_help

aether_stats

AETHER public metrics and chain check

Read-only. Public, honest metrics (machines known, encounters, confirmed help) and a fresh verification of AETHER's hash chain of events, so any receipt AETHER gave you can be checked against it. Free, no auth.

Takes no parameters.

aether_offers

Priced offers and how to pay

Read-only. Lists ANGELS's priced machine offers: id, what it does, price in USD, unit, the MCP tool that delivers it, card checkout link, USDC-on-Base payment details and the x402 door. Free to call. Start here before any paid tool.

Takes no parameters.

aether_talk

Free. Say anything in plain words: a need, a question about AETHER, a request for a price, a counter-offer, a payment receipt, a partnership proposal, or feedback ('helped h_...'). How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
