Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant research UK parking tickets and PCNs, calculate deadlines, check a notice photo, and file a real appeal through AppealGo.

What you can do
  • Search and read plain-English AppealGo guides on UK parking, bus lane, ULEZ and Clean Air Zone notices
  • Look up contravention codes by number or description, with penalty bands and common grounds
  • Calculate discount, challenge, escalation and tribunal or POPLA/IAS deadlines from a notice date
  • Check a photo or PDF of a notice to identify the issuer and contravention and draft an appeal
  • List and read the notices scanned in the account, and look up public appeal status by reference
  • File the drafted appeal with the council or operator in the account holder's name
When to use it
Useful when someone has received a UK parking ticket, PCN, bus lane, ULEZ or Clean Air Zone notice and wants to understand the grounds, work out deadlines, or prepare and submit an appeal without reading the paperwork alone.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at appealgo.com; no local install. Guide, contravention-code, deadline and status tools work without a key. Scanning and filing need an AppealGo API key sent as an Authorization header in the form Bearer plus the key, created in the AppealGo profile.
Before you install
Filing sends a real, irreversible appeal to a real council or operator in the account holder's name, so confirm with the user first. Filing an unpaid notice not covered by a plan returns a Stripe checkout link for a £7.99 charge. Checking is free but capped per key per day. Uploaded notice photos and PDFs go to AppealGo, and the API key is a secret.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AppealGo in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.appealgo%2Fappealgo/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

search_guides

Search AppealGo's appeal guides

Search plain-English guides on appealing UK parking tickets: council PCNs, private parking charges (ParkingEye, Euro Car Parks, APCOA...), bus lane, ULEZ, Clean Air Zone, Notice to Owner, TE9 witness statements, London boroughs and contravention codes. Returns slugs to pass to get_guide.

explain_contravention_code

Explain a PCN contravention code

What a two-digit council PCN contravention code means (e.g. 01, 12, 30, 34, 62), its penalty band, and the grounds that usually beat it.

Parameterscoderequired

search_contravention_codes

Search contravention codes by description

Find the code for a description, e.g. 'disabled bay' or 'bus lane'.

Parametersqueryrequired

calculate_deadlines

Calculate PCN and parking charge deadlines

Given the notice type and the date on the notice, returns the discount deadline, the challenge/representations deadline, when escalation can start, and (if you pass a rejection date) the tribunal or POPLA/IAS deadline. Statutory defaults; the notice is authoritative.

check_notice

Scan a parking ticket / PCN and get the grounds + draft appeal

Upload a photo or PDF of a UK parking ticket, council PCN, private parking charge, bus lane, ULEZ or Clean Air Zone notice. AppealGo reads it, identifies the issuer and contravention, finds the grounds to challenge it and drafts the appeal. Checking is free (fair-use cap per key per day); filing costs £7.99 or is covered by a plan, up to its appeal allowance. Provide image_url OR image_base64. Takes 20–90 seconds. Never invent notice details: report exactly what this tool returns.

list_my_notices

List the account's notices and appeals

Every notice this AppealGo account has scanned, with status and links.

Takes no parameters.

get_notice

Get one notice with its draft appeal and status

Full detail for a notice id returned by check_notice or list_my_notices.

Parametersidrequired

file_appeal

File the appeal with the issuer

Files the drafted appeal for a notice in the account holder's own name. This sends a real appeal to a real council or parking operator and cannot be undone, so confirm with the user first. If the notice is unpaid and not covered by a plan, returns a Stripe checkout_url (£7.99 standard); once paid, AppealGo files it automatically. Name and postal address are required (saved on the profile, or pass them here). Always show the user the checkout_url rather than claiming the appeal was filed.
