Overview

AI-generated overview

AppListingLab generates App Store and Google Play screenshots, ASO listing text and feature graphics from an app's real screens, driven from an AI assistant.

What you can do
  • Inspect connection capabilities and list, import or read owned App profiles with their store links
  • List source screenshots and discover supported screenshot devices, dimensions and public designs
  • Validate screenshot requests and start caption or finished PNG screenshot generation, then poll job status
  • Generate store-specific ASO text, localize a completed ASO job, and create a Google Play feature graphic
  • Read and wait on generation jobs, and optionally use Google Play publishing tools when enabled
When to use it
Useful when you need store listing assets — screenshots, localized ASO copy or a feature graphic — produced from an existing app's screens and want an assistant to drive the AppListingLab workflow, including optional Google Play publishing.
Requirements
Runs locally over stdio from the npm package @applistinglab/mcp, so Node.js is needed. Requires an AppListingLab developer API key in APP_LISTING_LAB_API_KEY. Publishing tools need APP_LISTING_LAB_ENABLE_PUBLISHING set to true and a key with publish scope; file tools need an existing folder in APP_LISTING_LAB_FILES_DIR. Desktop only.
Before you install
Generation consumes backend credits automatically, and the server explicitly avoids spend-confirmation steps, so jobs can cost money without a prompt. Publishing tools can push store updates and need a publish-scoped key; provider commit is not the same as store approval. The API key must never be passed in tool arguments. File access is limited to the configured files directory.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AppListingLab in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Tools

15

get_capabilities

Inspect this MCP connection's stable API tools, publishing opt-in and local file availability. Restart the server to refresh discovery after an API release.

Takes no parameters.

list_apps

List this account's App profiles (most recently updated first) with their store links. Check here before import_app and reuse the profile whose link matches.

Takes no parameters.

import_app

Create a new App profile from the app's own name and description (the default, and the only way for an unreleased app). For an already published app, optionally add store links to pull in its listing; stated fields always take priority and importedFrom shows which stores were read. Links without name must each open a published listing. Each call creates another profile, so call list_apps first.

Start store-specific ASO text generation. Uses backend credits automatically; reuse the same idempotencyKey/request for retries.

ParametersrequestrequiredidempotencyKeyrequired

get_job

Read actual generation status and final public results. Pending/running is not completion.

Parametersidrequired

wait_for_job

Poll a generation job for up to 60 seconds with bounded backoff. Returns done/error or the last pending/running state. Never starts generation or treats a polling deadline as a failed job. Use get_publish_session for store updates.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
