App Store and Google Play keyword ranks, keyword research and competitors for your apps.
Overview
AppRankHero exposes your App Store and Google Play keyword rankings, keyword research and competitor data to an AI assistant.
- What you can do
- Check account, team, plan and limits, and list tracked apps across both stores
- Read current ranks with 24h, 7d and 28d changes, rank history trends and daily, weekly or monthly reports
- Research keywords by country with popularity and difficulty scores, and see which apps compete for a keyword
- List tracked keywords with their status, and search the live App Store or Google Play to find an app's store id
- Add apps or research projects, and start or stop tracking keywords for an app in a country
- When to use it
- Useful when you manage app store optimization and want to ask plain-language questions about your rankings, keyword opportunities and competitors without opening the Mac app. It fits teams already on an AppRankHero Pro or Studio plan.
- Requirements
- A paid AppRankHero Pro or Studio plan and its license key (starts with ARH-). The hosted server at apprankhero.com/mcp needs no install and signs in via OAuth or an Authorization Bearer header. The optional local stdio server needs Node.js 18 or later and the ARH_LICENSE_KEY environment variable, with optional ARH_TEAM_ID and ARH_API_BASE.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open AppRankHero in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.apprankhero%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

AppRankHero MCP server
Your AppRankHero keyword rankings for the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), inside ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and any other MCP client.
Ask in plain language:
- "Which of my keywords dropped out of the top 10 this week?"
- "Find popular, low difficulty keywords for a habit tracker in Germany."
- "Who outranks me for 'focus timer' and what do they have in their title?"
- "Track 'app blocker' and 'screen time' for my app in the US and UK."
Answers come live from your AppRankHero data, refreshed every morning.
Requirements
An AppRankHero Pro or Studio plan. Your license key starts with ARH-
and is in the Mac app under Account. See

how to activate a key.
Hosted server (recommended)
Nothing to install. One URL for every client:
Streamable HTTP, two ways to sign in:

Authorization: Bearer ARH-XXXX.

Local stdio server
For clients that only run local servers. Needs Node.js 18 or later.
The hosted and the local server offer the same tools.
Tools
Every tool carries MCP annotations (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint,
idempotentHint, openWorldHint) so clients can ask before write calls.
Write tools need the owner or member role; viewers are read only.
Plan limits apply exactly as in the Mac app.
App Store and Google Play
platformisios(App Store, default) orandroid(Google Play) onarh_search_store_apps,arh_add_app,arh_search_keywordsandarh_competitors. How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
