Overview

AI-generated overview

Attic Capital's weekly collectibles market reports for rare coins, sports cards, collector cars and fine art, readable through an assistant.

What you can do
  • Check connector status, the report week, the four markets and the 14 report pillars
  • Read weekly top-5 rosters and single ranked entries for a market, layer and pillar
  • Search roster names, summaries and report copy, and see roster and gathering changes since a date
  • List and read articles, podcast episodes and the gathering calendar
  • Fetch object dossiers and Attic Market Strength indexes (Attic Beyond, API key required)
  • Check whether PSA cert lookup and eBay-sold comps are configured; the sold-comp and cert tools are stubs
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to answer questions about Attic Capital's weekly collectibles rankings, what moved in a roster, or its articles and Creators podcast episodes, without browsing the site.
Requirements
Works as a remote endpoint or as a local npm package (attic-mcp, stdio). Public Headlines, articles, episodes and gatherings need no key. Attic Beyond layers, dossiers and indexes need an ATTIC_API_KEY sent as the X-Attic-Key header.
Before you install
Beyond layers, dossiers, indexes and the comp tools require an API key, which is a secret sent as a header. The PSA cert and sold-comp tools are stubs and return no grades or prices, so the assistant should not quote values from them. Content is limited to excerpts, not full article bodies.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Attic in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.atticcapital%2Fattic/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Tools

attic_status

Attic status

Current Attic connector status: API version, the weekly as-of date, the four markets, and the 14 pillars. Call this first when the user asks what week the reports cover.

Takes no parameters.

attic_list_markets

List Attic markets

List the four Attic collector markets (rare coins, sports cards, collector cars, fine art) with Headlines, Beyond, and Creators page URLs on atticcapital.com. Use this when you need the canonical page to link, not a top-5 roster.

Takes no parameters.

attic_list_pillars

List Attic pillars

List the 14 locked report pillars in order (Collectors through Insights In Depth). Use the slug with attic_get_market_report. This does not return the ranked names.

Takes no parameters.

attic_get_market_report

Get a weekly market report

Get one weekly top-5 roster for a market, layer, and pillar. Use this for 'top 5', 'who is in the report', or a Headlines / Beyond pillar. For the paragraph on one rank, call attic_get_report_entry. For a name across pillars, use attic_search. layer=beyond is Attic Beyond and needs an API key.

Parameterslayerrequiredmarketrequiredpillarrequired

attic_get_report_entry

Get one report entry

Get one ranked name from a weekly pillar pack, with its summary and a short expanded excerpt. Requires market, layer, and pillar. rank is 1-5 and defaults to 1. The excerpt is not the whole page. layer=beyond is Attic Beyond.

Parametersranklayerrequiredmarketrequiredpillarrequired

attic_list_gatherings

List Attic gatherings

List shows, auctions, and other gatherings on the Attic calendar. Optional market filter. Public. This is the calendar, not the Gatherings pillar of the weekly report (use attic_get_market_report with pillar gatherings for that top 5).

Parameterslimitmarket

attic_get_changes

What changed this week

Ledger of roster and gathering moves since the prior weekly cut. Use this for 'what changed', rank moves, names that entered or left a top 5. Optional since (YYYY-MM-DD), market, and layer. layer=beyond is Attic Beyond. An empty list means the rosters did not move.

Parameterslayersincemarket

attic_list_articles

List Attic articles

List published atticcapital.com articles: title, date, URL, and a short excerpt. Never the full body. Optional q matches title, slug, and excerpt. Optional market (rare-coins, sports-cards, collector-cars, art, or other) and since (YYYY-MM-DD). Newest first.

Parametersqlimitsincemarketoffset

attic_get_article

Parametersslugrequired

attic_list_episodes
