Make your own apps and tools: build, edit and publish web apps from a conversation.
Overview
Bool is a hosted MCP server that lets an assistant build, edit and publish web apps from a conversation, using the user's Bool account.
- What you can do
- Build web apps from a natural-language description through Bool's hosted tools, guided by a bundled skill file that explains when and how to use them. Edit existing apps and publish them from the conversation. Connect from ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Build, Claude Code or any other MCP client that supports remote servers.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to turn a description into a working web app, or to modify and publish an app you already have on Bool, without leaving the chat.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP server at bool.com, added as a Streamable HTTP endpoint; no local package or runtime is needed. A Bool account signed in through OAuth is required. The plugin itself runs no server and holds no secrets.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Bool in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.bool%2Fbool/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Bool plugin
The official plugin for Bool, which builds and publishes web apps from a description. Bool is operated by CodeHS, Inc.
The plugin connects an AI assistant to Bool's hosted MCP server at https://bool.com/api/mcp and adds a skill that tells the assistant how to use Bool's tools. It runs no server of its own and holds no secrets. Users sign in with their Bool account through OAuth. The license is MIT.
Install
Layout
One repo serves every client. The shared parts follow the Agent Plugins format, which ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, VS Code and GitHub Copilot read directly. Each client that needs more gets a small file of its own.
Keep the version the same in all four manifests. CI checks it.
Publish to the MCP Registry
bool.com serves the matching public key at /.well-known/mcp-registry-auth. Bump version in server.json before republishing.
Release to the OpenAI plugin directory
The script writes dist/bool-<version>.zip with only what OpenAI reads: plugin.json, mcp.json, skills/, assets/, README.md and LICENSE. Upload it from the Bool plugin's page in the OpenAI Platform with Upload plugin to make changes. The Upload new or existing plugin button on the Plugins list creates a separate plugin.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
