Email validation and SMTP verification for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Claude Code.

Overview

AI-generated overview

BounceProtect validates email addresses and checks SMTP deliverability from Claude, Cursor or other MCP assistants, and reports remaining credits.

What you can do
  • Validate a single email address
  • Validate up to 100 email addresses in one bulk request
  • Check the remaining credit balance on the account
When to use it
Useful when cleaning contact or mailing lists, screening sign-up addresses, or checking whether an address is deliverable before sending mail, without leaving the assistant.
Requirements
Runs as a local stdio process installed from the npm package @bounceprotect/mcp, so Node.js is needed. Requires a BounceProtect account and an API key created in the dashboard, supplied through the YOUR_API_KEY environment variable. Network access to the BounceProtect service is required.
Before you install
The API key is a secret and is passed in plain text through the environment configuration. Each validation consumes one credit, so bulk runs of up to 100 addresses spend credits; the free tier starts with 100 credits. Email addresses submitted for validation are sent to the BounceProtect service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Bounceprotect in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Score

40% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
