Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant schedule and publish social media posts across 19 networks, reply to comments and DMs, and read post analytics.

What it does
Breakreach is a hosted MCP server for social media publishing. According to the description, it schedules and publishes posts on 19 social networks, answers comments and direct messages, and reads post analytics. The README lists Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Mastodon, WordPress, Ghost, Dev.to, Hashnode and Tumblr, and notes that the SDKs are generated from the API's OpenAPI spec so every endpoint has a typed method.
When to use it
Worth adding when an assistant should draft, schedule or publish content to multiple social accounts, handle incoming comments and DMs, or pull engagement analytics without switching between platform dashboards.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at hosted with OAuth; setup is per client. An API key is obtained from Breakreach under Settings, API and MCP. The SDKs and CLI are optional and need Node 18+ or Python 3.9+.
Before you install
The server can publish posts and send replies on connected social accounts, so review generated content before it goes out. It requires an API key from Breakreach; treat that credential as a secret. The README notes retries use an Idempotency-Key so a retry never publishes a post twice.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Breakreach in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

MCP serverhttps://api.breakreach.com/mcphosted, OAuth; setup per client

The SDKs are generated from the OpenAPI spec the API serves (a copy is in openapi.json), so every endpoint has a typed method. Both retry network errors and restarts with an Idempotency-Key on each POST: a retry never publishes a post twice.

ts
import { Breakreach } from "breakreach";
const br = new Breakreach(); // BREAKREACH_API_KEYconst { accounts } = await br.listAccounts();await br.createPost({ content: "Out tomorrow.", accountIds: accounts.map((a) => a.id), useNextSlot: true });
bash
npx breakreach loginnpx breakreach post "Out tomorrow." --to instagram,linkedin --media ./launch.jpg --next-slot

An API key comes from Breakreach, Settings → API & MCP. Docs: breakreach.com/developers.

Working on it

bash
npx tsx scripts/generate.mts # after an API change: types, methods and README tables from the specnpx tsx scripts/generate.mts --check # fails when the generated files are out of datecd typescript && npm install && npm run build

In the Breakreach monorepo the generator reads the spec from apps/api/src/lib/openapi.ts; elsewhere from openapi.json, or --spec https://api.breakreach.com/v1/openapi.json. scripts/e2e.sh (monorepo only) drives both SDKs and the CLI against the real API code on a local database.
