Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant answer a small business's customer questions from its FAQs and book open appointment times.

What it does
CallChatSyn exposes three tools for a small business's customer-facing front desk. answer_customer_question replies from the business's FAQs and order data in English or Chinese and flags booking or human-handoff requests. list_open_times returns up to five open slots over the next seven days in the business's time zone, along with services and locations, drawing on CallChatSyn hours or a connected Cal.com calendar. book_appointment creates a booking for one of those times and notifies the business.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant should handle routine customer questions and appointment booking for a small business without a person in the loop. It fits businesses that already keep FAQs and opening hours in CallChatSyn, or that connect Cal.com for real bookings.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing to install. Without credentials it runs against a public demo business with dry-run bookings. To act for a real business, send the Authorization header with a Bearer token from the CallChatSyn dashboard, or run the npx package with the CALLCHATSYN_API_KEY environment variable. A CallChatSyn account with FAQs and opening hours is needed for real use.
Before you install
The Authorization header or CALLCHATSYN_API_KEY is a secret that acts for one business, so keep it private. book_appointment writes data: it creates a booking, notifies the business, and may create the booking in a connected Cal.com calendar, and it is not idempotent, so retries can produce duplicate bookings. Answers come from rule-based FAQ matching rather than free-form generation.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

README

CallChatSyn MCP server

Let an AI assistant (Claude, Cursor, any MCP client) answer customer questions and book appointments for a small business, using that business's own FAQs and opening hours on CallChatSyn.

Free for the first 1,000 businesses (founder offer: 100 API calls a day, 2,000 a month).

Tools

ToolChanges data?What it does
answer_customer_questionNo (read-only)Answers from the business's FAQs and order data (English/Chinese); flags booking and "talk to a person" requests
list_open_timesNo (read-only)Next open times (up to 5, next 7 days) in the business's time zone, plus services and locations; from CallChatSyn hours or the business's connected Cal.com
book_appointmentYes, creates a bookingBooks one of those times; the business is notified and, with Cal.com connected, the booking is created there. Not idempotent. Demo key = dry run

Remote server (nothing to install)

Add this URL as a custom connector (Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector; Cursor and others: a Streamable HTTP server):

https://callchatsyn.com/api/mcp

Without a key it uses the demo business. To act for your own business, send the header Authorization: Bearer ccs_live_.... Also listed in the official MCP Registry as com.callchatsyn/callchatsyn.

Local setup (npx)

  1. Create a CallChatSyn account, add FAQs and opening hours, then Dashboard → Developers → claim founder access → create an API key.
  2. Add to your MCP client config:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "callchatsyn": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["-y", "github:oneappsworld/callchatsyn-mcp"],      "env": { "CALLCHATSYN_API_KEY": "ccs_live_..." }    }  }}

Keep the key private; it acts for one business.

No key yet? Leave CALLCHATSYN_API_KEY out and the server uses the public demo key (ccs_demo_public): answers come from a demo business and bookings are dry runs, so you can try every tool before signing up.
