Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote, read-only MCP server giving assistants research on voluntary carbon credit projects: ratings, registry facts, offer checks and buyer retirements.

What you can do
  • Search and read project records: ratings, red flags, registry status, vintages, claims, developers, buyers and documents
  • Check a received offer against public registry facts, and view CORSIA supply labels by registry and phase
  • Look up methodologies, crediting standards, developers, ICVCM CCP assessments and leaderboards by sector, country, standard or methodology
  • Review your own saved portfolio and the last 30 days of rule-setter notices and registry label changes
  • Read CarbonMeld's rating method and its articles in English, Chinese and Japanese
When to use it
Useful when you need to vet carbon credit projects or offers, compare ratings and rankings, or track registry and methodology changes before a purchase decision. It is a research aid, not a trading or purchasing tool.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. A CarbonMeld account signed in through OAuth 2.1, with the connection approved on a CarbonMeld page. An API-key alternative is documented for some clients.
Before you install
Sign-in grants the assistant access to your CarbonMeld account data, including your saved portfolio; you can disconnect assistants from your account page. Ratings are informational and not investment advice, and CarbonMeld does not sell credits. The tools are read-only and cannot buy, sell or pay.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open CarbonMeld in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.carbonmeld%2Fcarbonmeld/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

CarbonMeld MCP server

CarbonMeld's remote MCP server gives AI assistants read-only research on voluntary carbon credit projects: ratings built from the documents registries publish, the registries' own data, and the method behind each rating.

  • Server URL: https://carbonmeld.com/api/v1/mcp (Streamable HTTP)
  • Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with your CarbonMeld account. You approve the connection on a CarbonMeld page, and you can disconnect an assistant at any time from your account page («Connected assistants»).
  • Read-only: the tools cannot change anything, buy, sell or make a payment.
  • Official MCP Registry: com.carbonmeld/carbonmeld, described by server.json

This repository holds the server's public description only: its registry entry and client examples. The server runs at the URL above; its code is not here.

Full, current steps for every client, including Claude Code, Microsoft 365 Copilot and the API-key alternative: https://carbonmeld.com/premium/mcp/

  • ChatGPT: chatgpt.com/plugins → + → Add custom MCP server → the server URL → OAuth → Create as a plugin. Sign in on the CarbonMeld page that opens, then approve.
  • Claude: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector → the server URL. You can also add CarbonMeld from Claude's connectors directory. Sign in on the CarbonMeld page that opens, then approve.
  • Cursor: put examples/cursor-mcp.json in ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json for one project). Cursor asks you to sign in.
  • VS Code: run MCP: Add Server → HTTP → the server URL → server ID carbonmeld → Global. The resulting entry, in ~/.copilot/mcp-config.json, is examples/vscode-mcp.json. VS Code asks you to sign in.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
