Overview

AI-generated overview

Clueforge turns a solution word and clue/answer pairs into a personalised printable crossword, returning a preview and a link to edit and download it.

What you can do
  • Create a crossword from a hidden solution word plus clue/answer pairs written by the assistant
  • Get a text preview of the generated puzzle
  • Receive a clue-forge.com link where the user can view and edit the puzzle
  • Download the finished puzzle as a print-ready PDF or HTML from the site
When to use it
Useful for making personalised gift puzzles for occasions such as birthdays, weddings, couples or Valentine's Day, where the assistant gathers a name and a few personal facts and writes the clues itself.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at clue-forge.com over streamable HTTP; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. The assistant must supply a solution word and 8–14 clue/answer pairs, with every letter of the solution word appearing in a different answer.
Before you install
Editing and previewing online is free, but the print-ready PDF and HTML download costs a one-time 4.99 EUR on the site. Personal facts and names given for the clues are sent to the remote service, and the puzzle is created on that third-party site.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Clueforge in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.clue-forge%2Fclueforge/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Create crossword

Builds a crossword puzzle with a hidden solution word from clue/answer pairs you write, and returns a text preview plus a clue-forge.com link where the user can view, edit and download it as a print-ready PDF/HTML. Use it for personalised puzzles (birthday, wedding, couples, Valentine's Day, Christmas, classroom, team events) or general-knowledge puzzles. Rules: answers are single words, 2–15 letters, no spaces; each letter of solution_word must occur in a different answer (add clues if a letter is missing); the answer must not appear in its clue; do not use the solution word itself as an answer. Write clues in the language given by "language". Always show the returned link to the user.
