Remote MCP server that plans Massachusetts public transit trips and shows live departures at MBTA stations.
What you can do
Plan a door-to-door transit trip from a plain-language origin, destination and time, covering MBTA subway, bus, Commuter Rail and ferries, regional transit authorities, Amtrak, CTrail, island ferries and intercity buses
Get live next departures at a single MBTA station, optionally filtered to one route or line
Return a single clear plan with what to board, departure time and where to get off, plus a link that opens the trip in Cobblehop with live tracking
When to use it
Useful when someone asks how to get somewhere in Massachusetts or nearby Rhode Island and New Hampshire by public transit, or wants the next trains or buses from a specific MBTA station.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at cobblehop.com; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared.
Before you install
Schedules and live times can change, so posted signs should be checked; the service is independent and not affiliated with the MBTA or MassDOT. Trip links open in the Cobblehop service.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.cobblehop%2Fcobblehop/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Plan a public transit trip in Massachusetts and nearby Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Ask in plain words, e.g. 'How do I get from South Station to Fenway Park at 6pm?' or 'last train from North Station to Salem tonight'. Returns one clear plan (what to board, when it leaves, where to get off) with live times when available, plus a link that opens it in Cobblehop for live tracking and a stop alert.
