When to use it
Useful when someone wants to track company announcements, funding news or product launches by topic, or look up a specific company's press release. It suits research and monitoring of published announcements rather than independent reporting.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at courierpr.com; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared. Network access to the endpoint is needed.
Before you install
Releases are company-written announcements, not independent reporting, and should be presented as the company's statement. Results are summaries only; full text, images and media contacts live on the linked page, so cite the returned URL. The filing tool returns links only and does not publish anything.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.courierpr%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
The six newsroom desks and the twenty categories under them, with slugs and links. Use it to resolve a topic the user named ('tech', 'health') into a desk or category before calling latest_releases. Returns no releases.
Takes no parameters.
latest_releases
Newest press releases
The newest published press releases, optionally within one desk or one category. Use it for 'what is new in tech', 'latest funding announcements', 'recent releases on CourierPR'. Each result is a title, company, date, short summary and a link; the full text is on the linked page. Limitation: at most 10 per call, newest first, no date filter.

search_releases
Search press releases
Full-text search over every published press release (title and body), optionally within one category. Use it when the user names a company, product, person or topic. Returns short summaries with links; the full text is on the linked page. Limitation: English full-text matching, at most 10 results, no date filter.

get_release
One press release
One published press release by slug (the last part of its URL) or by its full courierpr.com URL: title, company, category, dateline, date, the opening 120 words and a link to the full release. Use it after a search or list result when the user wants more on one item. Limitation: returns a summary, not the full text; media contact details are never included and are on the page behind a human check.
