Remote MCP server that lets an assistant search a catalog of 125+ data APIs, read their endpoint docs, and make live calls with your API key.
What you can do
Search the catalog of 125+ data APIs by the data they provide, returning up to 10 matches with slug, summary, base URL and docs link
Read the full reference for one API: endpoints, methods, path and query parameters, request body, example response and token cost per call
Make live requests to a chosen API endpoint, with query parameters or a JSON body for POST, using your API key
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs factual data from public and official datasets such as sanctions lists, barcodes, IP intelligence, company registries, recalls, holidays or geography, and you would rather go through one catalog than wire up each API separately.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at dataandapis.com; no local runtime or package. A dataandapis.com API key sent as the X-Api-Key header, from a free account with 500 tokens a month. The key is optional for search_apis and get_api but required for call_api. One key covers every API in the catalog.
Before you install
The X-Api-Key header is a secret and is required for call_api; keep it out of logs and shared transcripts. Live calls consume tokens from your monthly quota, and each API's token cost per call is listed in its reference. call_api sends requests to third-party data APIs on your behalf, and POST calls can submit a JSON body.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.dataandapis%2Fcatalog/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Find APIs on dataandapis.com by the data they provide (e.g. 'sanctions screening', 'barcode nutrition', 'IP geolocation', 'company by domain', 'public holidays'). Returns up to 10 matches with slug, one-line summary, base URL and docs. Follow with get_api for the endpoints.

get_api
Get an API's endpoint reference
Full reference for one API: every endpoint with method, path, path and query parameters with example values, request body and an example response, plus the token cost per call. Use the slug from search_apis.

call_api
Call an API endpoint
Make a live request to a dataandapis.com API with the user's API key (sent as X-Api-Key on this MCP connection). Give the API slug, the endpoint path from get_api (path parameters already filled in, e.g. '/v1/products/3017620422003'), optional query parameters and, for POST, a JSON body. Most calls cost 1 token.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
