Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that turns a date, time and timezone into Discord timestamp codes and decodes Discord snowflake IDs into creation dates.

What you can do
  • Generate Discord timestamp codes in all seven styles (t, T, d, D, f, F, R) from a Unix time, an ISO datetime, or a local date, time and IANA timezone
  • Decode a Discord user, message, channel or server ID (snowflake) into its creation date, plus worker, process and increment fields
  • Return a single requested style or every style at once when no format is given
When to use it
Useful when you write or schedule Discord messages and want timestamps that display in each reader's own timezone, or when you need to know when a Discord account, message, channel or server was created.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing runs locally. No API key, account or configuration is needed.
Before you install
Each call sends only its arguments (the date, time and timezone, or the Discord ID) to the third-party server; no local files or conversation history are sent. The server is described as free and read-only. Previews are rendered in UTC, while Discord localises them per reader.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Discord Timestamp Generator in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.discordtimestampgen%2Fdiscord-timestamp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Discord Timestamp Generator for OpenClaw

Make Discord <t:unix:F> timestamp codes from any date, time and timezone, and decode Discord IDs (snowflakes) to creation dates. Wraps the free remote MCP server at discordtimestampgen.com.

This plugin adds the discordtimestampgen.com remote MCP server to OpenClaw. Nothing runs locally: OpenClaw connects to https://discordtimestampgen.com/mcp over Streamable HTTP. No API key, no account, no config.

Install

bash
openclaw plugins install git:github.com/fazal-bhinder/openclaw-discord-timestamp

Or from a local checkout: openclaw plugins install ./openclaw-discord-timestamp. Then check it loaded with openclaw plugins inspect discord-timestamp. The tools are available from the next agent session.

Usage

  1. Install the plugin (see above) and start a new agent session.

  2. Check it loaded: openclaw plugins inspect discord-timestamp should list the tools below.

  3. Ask in plain language. The agent picks the tool. For example:

    • "Make a Discord timestamp for 8pm New York time next Friday"
    • "Give me the relative timestamp for 1 January 2027, 09:00 UTC"
    • "When was Discord ID 1038530174498635856 created?"

No setup or configuration is needed.

Data and permissions

  • The plugin adds one remote MCP server, https://discordtimestampgen.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). It has no local code, needs no permissions and runs nothing on your machine.
  • Each tool call sends only its arguments to that server: the date, time and timezone you ask about, or the Discord ID you want decoded.
  • No API key, account, OpenClaw config, local files or conversation history are sent.

Tools

OpenClaw prefixes MCP tools with the server name, so they appear as discord-timestamp__<tool>.

ToolWhat it does
discord-timestamp__discord_timestampTurn a moment (Unix time, ISO datetime, or local date + time + IANA timezone) into Discord timestamp codes for all 7 styles: t, T, d, D, f, F, R.
discord-timestamp__decode_discord_snowflakeDecode a Discord user, message, server or channel ID into its creation date.

Try asking

  • "Make a Discord timestamp for 8pm New York time next Friday."
  • "When was the Discord account with ID 175928847299117063 created?"

The site also has a JSON API (/api/timestamp, /api/formats) described in openapi.json, if you want to call it without MCP.

Manual setup (without the plugin)

Add the server to your OpenClaw config yourself:

json
{  "mcp": {    "servers": {      "discord-timestamp": { "url": "https://discordtimestampgen.com/mcp", "transport": "streamable-http" }    }  }}

Check

npm test (or node check.mjs) calls the live server and asserts a real result. Needs Node 18+ and no dependencies.

Files

  • openclaw.plugin.json: the native OpenClaw manifest. It declares the remote server under mcpServers.
  • .claude-plugin/plugin.json and .mcp.json: the same server in the Claude bundle format, which OpenClaw and ClawHub also read.

About

Made by Fazal Singh Bhinder, who also runs discordtimestampgen.com. The server is free and read-only. MIT licensed.

discord_timestamp

Make a Discord timestamp

Turn a moment in time into Discord timestamp codes like <t:1767225600:F>. Give either `unix`, an ISO `datetime` with offset, or a local `date` + `time` + IANA `timezone` (best when the user says e.g. "8pm New York time"). Omit `format` to get all 7 styles (t, T, d, D, f, F, R).

decode_discord_snowflake

Decode a Discord ID

Get the creation date of any Discord user, message, channel or server ID (snowflake), plus its worker, process and increment fields.
