Overview

AI-generated overview

A remote MCP server that lets an assistant search and look up published restaurant listings and their signature dishes across the US and Canada.

What you can do
It exposes six read-only tools over a remote endpoint. The assistant can search published restaurants by text, place and category, fetch a single restaurant by its slug, and list the countries, regions and cities that have restaurants. It can also list categories with restaurant counts, get totals for restaurants, places and categories plus when the data last changed, and list the data sources with each source's license and refresh.
When to use it
Useful when someone wants an assistant to find restaurants or signature dishes in US and Canadian locations, browse by city or category, or check how current and where the listing data comes from.
Requirements
A remote MCP client that supports streamable HTTP, connecting to the provider's endpoint. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared, and no local package is needed.
Before you install
All tools are read-only lookups; nothing is written or changed. The data covers only published restaurants in the US and Canada, and its accuracy and freshness depend on the listed sources, so check the source and refresh information before relying on it.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Dish Directory in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.dishdirectory%2Fdishdirectory/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
