Files are passed as base64 strings, so large books mean large payloads.
Before you install
Free tier is limited to 3 operations per day, 15 requests per minute and small file sizes, and output carries Epublys branding; Pro costs $9/month or $72/year and upgrade_to_pro returns a Stripe checkout link for payment. Files are sent to a third-party service for processing, which states they are processed in memory and not stored. Editing metadata and converting return modified files, so keep originals.

Epublys MCP Server

Remote MCP server for EPUB and PDF ebook manipulation — merge, split, compress, convert, edit metadata, validate, and generate AI covers. Backed by epublys.com, running on Cloudflare Workers.

This is a hosted server (Streamable HTTP). There is nothing to install — this repository holds the public manifests, configuration examples, and documentation.

The free tier is identified by IP address and shares the website's free daily allowance. It is permanent, not a trial.

A wrong, malformed or revoked key is a 401, not a silent fall back to the free tier. The key goes in the Authorization header only; a key in the URL is rejected.

Privacy

Files are processed in memory and never stored. There is no upload bucket, no retention, no content logging. Anonymous usage metrics only (tool name, status, sizes).

The Epublys service itself is closed-source.
