Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server for German e-invoices: create, read and validate XRechnung (CII-XML) and ZUGFeRD PDFs, and explain validation rules.

What you can do
Read and save the seller profile (company, address, tax details, IBAN, last invoice number) locally, with a hint when nothing is stored yet. Create e-invoices as XRechnung 3.0 CII-XML and ZUGFeRD PDF with embedded XML, checking mandatory fields first and falling back to the saved profile and next invoice number. Read an XRechnung or ZUGFeRD/Factur-X file from disk and return sender, recipient, line items and totals as JSON. Check an existing e-invoice for mandatory fields, arithmetic errors and EN 16931 rules. Explain a validation rule such as BR-DE-15 or BR-CO-10 in plain German with meaning, cause, fix and link.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant should draft, issue or review German e-invoices for public-sector or business recipients, or help diagnose why an invoice was rejected by a validator. Fits workflows that need XRechnung or ZUGFeRD output without sending invoice data to an external service.
Requirements
Runs as a local stdio process, installed from the npm package erechnung-digital-mcp (Node.js). Desktop only; no web execution. Optional environment variables ERECHNUNG_HOME for the sender profile folder and ERECHNUNG_OUTPUT_DIR for generated invoices. No authentication declared.
Before you install
Writes files to disk: the seller profile (by default under a local .erechnung-digital folder) and generated invoice files in the output directory. Invoices contain company, tax and bank details, so check where files are stored. The built-in check is not the official KoSIT validator and may miss rejection reasons; validate formally before submission.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open E-RechnungDigital in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
