Overview

AI-generated overview

Faxette EU lets an assistant look up fax numbers, upload documents and prepare faxes to the EU, UK, Switzerland and nearby countries, paid per fax.

What you can do
  • Check the connector's countries, languages, file limits and prices
  • Search Faxette's checked directory for an office's fax number with its official source
  • Reserve an upload for a PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC file and create a fax with optional text, Markdown pages and a cover page
  • Read a fax's status, pages, price, payment and attempts, resend a failed fax, and get a delivery report
  • With sign-in: view the account, list and inspect its faxes, preview the exact PDF, and send a fax from account credit after price approval
When to use it
Useful when you want to send a document by fax to a European, UK or Swiss recipient from a chat, without a fax machine or subscription, and are willing to pay per fax.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at mcp.eu.faxette.com, connected from an MCP client; no package or local runtime. An account is optional, but sign-in through Faxette is needed for account, listing, review and credit-send tools. Files are uploaded to Faxette's storage via a short-lived link.
Before you install
Sending a fax costs money per fax; guests pay on the status page, signed-in users can pay from account credit. Uploaded documents go to Faxette's file storage and other data passes through its MCP servers. Sending, resending and credit payment change real state, so confirm the number, documents and price before approving.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Faxette EU in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.faxette%2Ffaxette-eu/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Faxette plugins

Send a fax from Claude Code, Codex or GitHub Copilot. The plugin adds Faxette's two MCP servers, one for each copy of Faxette, and a send-a-fax skill: your agent finds the official fax number, uploads your files and gives you a link to Faxette's status page, where you check the fax and pay to send it. If you're signed in, it can instead send the fax from your Faxette credit once you agree to the price. You pay per fax, with no subscription. You don't need an account; if you have one, sign in when your app asks and your faxes stay in it.

Faxette faxes to the US, Canada, the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Montenegro, Ukraine and the Isle of Man.

Install

Claude Code:

sh
claude plugin marketplace add goosegods/faxette-pluginsclaude plugin install faxette@faxette

Codex:

sh
codex plugin marketplace add goosegods/faxette-plugins

Then open /plugins in Codex, switch to the Faxette marketplace and install Faxette. Start a new session to use it.

GitHub Copilot CLI:

sh
copilot plugin marketplace add goosegods/faxette-pluginscopilot plugin install faxette@faxette

VS Code finds plugins you install with Copilot CLI. Without the CLI, run Chat: Open Customizations, add the goosegods/faxette-plugins marketplace under Browse → Configure Marketplaces, and install Faxette.

Then ask, for example: "Please fax referral.pdf to Dr. Lee's office."

Only the connectors

Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients can connect directly, without the skill. Each connector faxes to its own copy's countries:

ConnectorFaxes to
https://mcp.faxette.com/mcpthe US and Canada
https://mcp.eu.faxette.com/mcpthe EU, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Montenegro, Ukraine and the Isle of Man

Setup steps for each app are on faxette.com/mcp.

Tools

ToolWhat it does
get_capabilitiesEach copy's countries, languages, file limits and prices
lookup_fax_numberSearches Faxette's checked directory for an office's fax number, with its official source
create_documentReserves an upload for one file (PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC, up to 20 MB) and returns a URL to PUT it to
create_faxCreates the fax, optionally with text or Markdown printed as pages and a cover page, and returns its status_url, where the person checks it and pays
get_fax_statusReads a fax from its status_url: status, pages, price, payment and attempts
resend_faxResends a failed fax, optionally to a corrected number, with the same payment
get_fax_reportA delivery report for a finished fax
get_accountShows which Faxette account is signed in. Needs sign-in
get_faxesLists the account's faxes, 25 at a time, newest first, with a status filter. Needs sign-in
get_faxOne of the account's faxes, with its documents' file names, history and the quote to approve. Needs sign-in
open_fax_reviewShows the exact PDF that will be faxed, in apps that can show interactive screens, or as a review link. Needs sign-in
send_faxSends one of the account's faxes, paid from its credit, once the person approves that exact fax and price. Needs sign-in

Signing in is optional. The connector asks your app to sign you in the first time a tool needs it, through your copy of Faxette (www.faxette.com or eu.faxette.com). Disconnect an app any time in Settings → Connected apps.

Nothing is sent or charged without the person's agreement. Guests pay on the status page, which shows the fax number, documents and price first. Signed in, the agent can send a fax from the person's credit: it shows them the exact PDF and price and waits for their yes before calling send_fax, and Faxette refuses the send if the fax or its price changed since.

Publishing

Bump version in both plugin.json files when the plugin changes.

The servers are listed in the MCP Registry as com.faxette/faxette and com.faxette/faxette-eu. Bump version in both registry/*/server.json files with the server's, then publish each. The com.faxette/* names are proven with a DNS TXT record on faxette.com (how):

sh
mcp-publisher login dns --domain faxette.com --private-key <key>(cd registry/us && mcp-publisher publish)(cd registry/eu && mcp-publisher publish)

The key is the hex Ed25519 private key for the v=MCPv1 record. To replace it, make a new key and swap the v=MCPv1 TXT record on faxette.com for the new public key:

sh
openssl genpkey -algorithm Ed25519 -out key.pemecho "v=MCPv1; k=ed25519; p=$(openssl pkey -in key.pem -pubout -outform DER | tail -c 32 | base64)" # the TXT recordopenssl pkey -in key.pem -outform DER | tail -c 32 | xxd -p -c 64 # the hex key for login

Score

50% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 daysRequired25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declaredRequired10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
