A remote MCP server that lets an assistant identify cat breeds from text descriptions or photos using furriq.com's 61-breed database.
What you can do
Match a written description of a cat's looks or behavior to likely breeds, with the markers that matched, or analyze a cat photo with AI vision for a breed estimate with stated uncertainty. Look up a full breed profile: identification markers, temperament, size, weight, lifespan, origin, health notes and similar breeds. Compare two breeds side by side, including how to tell commonly confused breeds apart. List all 61 breeds with size, origin and category.
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to guess a cat's breed from a description or a photo, or wants reference details and comparisons between breeds while deciding or researching.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at furriq.com over streamable HTTP; no authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. Photo analysis needs a publicly reachable image URL or a data: URL.
Before you install
Photo analysis is capped at 10 analyses per day and sends the image URL to furriq.com for AI vision processing. Breed results are estimates, not certain identification; the text-matching tool is deterministic while the photo tool is AI-based.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.furriq%2Fcats/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Match a cat description to likely breeds from furriq.com's curated database of 61 breeds. Describe what the cat looks like or how it behaves (coat pattern, body shape, ears, temperament) and get the top candidates with the specific markers that matched. Deterministic — no AI guessing.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
