Before you install
The assistant acts on live seller accounts: it can change product data, prices, stock, ad campaigns and bids, and handle buyer tickets and returns, so review actions before approving. Ads and bids can affect spending. Access is granted through OAuth to the connected marketplace accounts.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Backlane in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Backlane

Let your AI assistant run your OTTO Market, Kaufland and Mirakl accounts.

Backlane is a remote MCP server. Connect your marketplace accounts once in the Backlane app, connect Backlane in your AI client, and ask about orders, offers, prices and inventory in plain language.

This repo holds the agent side: setup guides, skills and plugin manifests.

Quick start

Claude web and desktop (community connector):

Select backlane production in the Claude directory, add the connector and sign in with your Backlane account. Enable it in chat and ask which marketplaces are connected. Workspace approval may be required. See the Claude guide for the manual fallback.
